This week, Fynn turned 2-months! We always celebrate every month-sary birthday of our kids until after they turn 1 year. It is also a good excuse to eat cake, hehe… We got him a chocolate truffle cake. His big brother got to be the one to enjoy eating it though, hehe…
By midweek, the family headed to Siglap to the cafe where my colleague took me & Fynn to celebrate a Welcome-Back dinner. The Royal’s Cafe is a perfect restaurant for kids. Besides the fact that they serve the best meesiam I have ever tasted and wide variety of cakes, they also a nice corner for kids to play. Naj had a great time there and doesn’t want to leave the kiddie corner. I will be blogging about the place soon.
Oh, this week, Philippines got a new president. He maybe an unconventional character but the people has spoken. He has proven himself to be an effective mayor in Davao City so I guess, we can wait and see and for now, we should support him in leading our country. We are here for you, Pres. Duterte!
This Sunday, I made a Filipino breakfast and added twist to the usual recipe. I made Champorado – chocolate rice pudding. I made it for Naj’s breakfast and he loves it a lot! Yippee!
I got the recipe from Eat Clean Love by The Sexy Chef. Heat up 1 cup of milk and add cooked brown rice. Then blend the rice mixture into a coarse puree. Then put back the pureed rice into the casserole, heat up with another 1 cup of milk, tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar for 5 minutes. Then drizzle with evaporated or condensed milk and chopped almonds or walnuts. Bon Apetit!
