It was my birthday two days ago. It is also my first birthday as a married woman. With the recent Yolanda calamity, we decided to keep it simple. But my sweet husband made it extra special by surprising me at 12-midnight on my birthday with a bouquet of flowers, a mini cake with candle and a lovely wrist watch as gift. I was so touched by the beautiful gesture.
Wives live for moments like that. Romance doesn’t end after the wedding ceremony. Husbands, never fail to make your wives extra special and wives should do the same.
Birthdays could make us feel dated and old but it is not a reason for us to stop pursuing our dreams. We are still not finished products. We are chiseled by time and experiences. I see that life ahead is much brighter, bigger and filled with lots of adventures. I can’t wait!
In the evening, my hubby and I had a simple dinner at home with take-away from a Filipino kopitiam kiosk. A dinner of lechon kawali (pan-roasted pork), instant pancit canton, fruit juice and hubby brought home a yummy TWG chocolate cake for my birthday celebration.
To those celebrating their birthdays this November, Happy Birthday to you too! Lets all shine bright like a diamond….
