I know I have been whining about my postpartum fats for quite sometime now. Fynn is already 7 months old and I haven’t reach my target in weight goal. I told myself October 2016 is my deadline for losing the 5 kg I been whining about. October is closing in and I am now 6 kg over my target weight. I have tried some diets and I couldn’t find time for a consistent exercise regime with two clingy kids. I have to admit now, this little mommy needs help!

When everything fails, I turned to the amazing technology available nowadays to make our lives a little bit easier. I got to try Beauty.Mums & Babies’ LPG LipoMassage at their Paragon outlet.

I went for a visit at their outlet one Saturday afternoon. I got lost for a bit. I realized it is not in the same place where Fynn had his baby spa. I was supposed to go Paragon Tower 1. I was instructed find MotherCare Shop and behind it is a lift to take me to Level 14. I was greeted by two smiling staff who were expecting me upon entering. I was offered a warm ginger before my procedure while I fill in some information about myself and my medical history so they create an individualized treatment program suited for me.

What is the LPG LipoMassage?

LPG LipoMassage is a slimming technique using a machine that reactivates the fat release process or what we call lipolysis to erase localizes fats and imperfections. The mechanical stimulation triggers reactivation of fat release, collagen & elastine production. LPG created the new CELLU M6 generation for faster, natural and scientifically-proven results in the figure. Its ERGODRIVE treatment delivers a natural & pleasant stimulation at the surface of the skin to boost fat release as well as allowing production of collagen & elastine.

My LipoMassage Experience

The nice Beauty.Mums & Babies staff, Christine, walked me to a room. She handed me a disposable panty and my endermowear. She instructed me to remove all my clothes, change with the stuff she handed me and she will come back in a few minutes. The room was adequatedly dimmed as I changed into a stretchy white suit that I reminded me of what Catherine Zeta-Jone wore in the movie Entrapment except that that one was black in color and made of spandex material.

Once I was ready, Christine came back. She took my weight. I was 49 kg before my recent trip and now I am 51 kg! I was hoping to reach my pre-baby weight of 45 kg.

Christine will use this probe in targeted areas of my body as well other parts of my body avoiding my breast area since I am breastfeeding. I complained of the fats on my tummy and bits on my arms. She told me that one session of LPG LipoMassage equals 72 exercises.

I got the Total Care Treatment with Cellulite Smoothing. The probe has 3 functions:

1. Roll’in – release fat

2. Roll’out – firm

3. Roll’up – resculpt and smooth

Each treatment is around 35 minutes for the whole body. The intensity can go up to 4. I reached to a comfortable 3. It wasn’t painful at all. If you find it painful, you can always tell the technician to lower the intensity. It gave a rhythmic kneading motion. She started on my back then shoulders & arms then my thighs, legs and tummy. First, the motion of the probe is more of a rolling, pressing motion then the machine would beep to indicate that the treatment for the targeted area is finished. Then I felt a gentle sucking sensation of the probe to the same area which I was told to be the cellulite smoothening until the beep again is heard. I like that it seem like a deep Shiatsu massage that helps you lose weight and contours your body.

After the LipoMassage was done, an additional massage on my targeted area which is the tummy is done by another accommodating staff named Cindy. It was a gentle and cutting massage on my tummy and activating acupoints to help with weightloss. After that, I was placed in a thermal blanket for a few minutes. I was so relaxed. I was so relaxed, I dozed off and probably was snoring loudly. I told that I don’t mind adding another 5 minutes with the hot blanket.

I felt lighter and my skin smoother & softer after the session. I was advised that 2 session per week will achieve the best results. After 6 session, the results will be more visible. I was treated with another cup of ginger tea after the treatment and was advised to drinks lots of water throughout the day.

LPG LipoMassage cost $180 for 45 minutes while a LPG LipoMassage + Massage cost $299 for 105 minutes. I am so excited to get my sexy ~~self~~ back. Just because we are mommies that doesn’t mean we should stop taking extra care of our appearance. Feeling good, looking good and achieving a good healthy weight enables us to take care of our kids better because we have more energy, we are happier and we make a good examples by promoting a good self-esteem to our kids.

I’ve given birth to a healthy 3 kg baby boy via repeat caesarean section 2 months ago. After giving birth, I have three goals:

3.) Breastfeed my newborn until 1-year-old (so I hope I could produce more breastmilk this time with baby #2 compared to my firstborn where I only breastfeed him until 7 months old because I wasn’t producing much milk.)

I got to try five of their products: Toasted Oats, Black Forest Granola, Organic Tri-Colour Quinoa, SuperFood Granola and Black Chia Seeds.

Toasted Oats

Oats have been one of the best go-to breakfast choices. It is a quick breakfast to make. It is healthy & packed with energy. It has also been most recommended galactagogue or milk-boosting food for breastfeeding moms. Most breastfeeding advocates swears by this. The toasted oats is one of the newer products of Garden Picks. It is an Australian rolled oats toasted with orange-pressed olive oil and honey. I made overnight oats with this one. I make it at night, put in the refrigerator and eat it in the morning. It saves me time in the morning because I have to rush to work. I get equal portions of oats, fresh milk & yogurt and I top it with either blueberries, strawberries or banana slices. It is a delicious breakfast and I love that it is different from the regular oats out there. I feel energized at work and it allows me to feel satiated until my lunch time.

SuperFood Granola

My toddler is a very picky eater. I have to force him and try many tricks just for him to eat. Garden Picks solved my problem with one of their product, SuperFood Granola. The SuperFood Granola contained chia seeds that provides you with fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids to power up the immune system. Now my son enjoys eating a healthy meal. I put it in his rice porridge to add texture and fun into his food. I would also sprinkle this in chilled fruit yogurt. He love it so much! He would swallow so fast, smile and shout “Am, Am!” which means more please. I also pack this in a small ziplock bag for a ready snacks when I am hungry at work or when we go out to the park.

Tri-Colour Quinoa

This pretty mix of three color quinoa: black, white and red. I have always been a fan of quinoa since I used to substitute my white rice with this when I was trying to lose weight for my wedding 3 years ago. And it works! It kept my tummy flat unlike when I eat white rice which makes my tummy bloat so bad. Quinoa is a great source of fiber, protein and essential amino acids. I enjoy Garden Picks Tri-Colour Quinoa apart from its attractive color scheme is its texture of soft with a bit of crunch. I don’t seem to miss rice when I have this. I bring it at work for my lunch and pair it with salmon or eggplant omelette. (FYI: Salmon also is a great milk-boosting food.)

Black Forest Granola

If I want an alternative for my oatmeal breakfast which is equally healthy, energy-giving and has milk-boosting power, I can go for granola. I am loving one of the newest products of Garden Picks, the Black Forest Granola. It contain chocolate buttons, coconut chips, tangy cranberries, honey and vanilla essence. Healthy indulgence! I would pair this with my favorite yogurt and the fruit for the day. Look at my beautiful breakfast granola above. Black Chia Seeds

I am aware of the wonderful power of chia seeds. This is another one of my usual pantry staple when I was trying to lose weight for my wedding. I would sprinkle this on my rice or put in my water. Or I make chia pudding but putting a small portion of water into a container of chia seeds with bit of honey. I would put it in the refrigerator overnight, the seeds will expand into a little jelly pearls. You can add coconut flakes on top and viola, a perfect meal replacement. I enjoy Garden Picks Black Chia Seeds and put it in almost every food I eat. I add it with my salad too.

SLIMMING 101: MY DUO-ADVANCED BODY DEFINE EXPERIENCE

After my Signature Meridian Therapy at Slimming 101 two weeks ago, I went for my Duo Body Define session.

DUO-ADVANCED BODY DEFINE is a non-invasive treatment that is a good alternative to liposuction. It works by reducing localised cellulite, body volume due to retention of water with localised areas. It is effective for tightening loose skin and improving body contour.

To start, they gave me their brown silk robe and disposable undies. Then measurements was made. I was ready for my session.

Pretty therapist, Ms. Lynn, performed the Signature Meridian Therapy where acupoints are stimulated to clear and balance flow of qi and blood. This will effectively break down stubborn fats and increases drainage for lymph nodes. I was told that it was obvious my digestion is no good. Opps!

Then, the Duo-Advanced Body Define therapy started with application of this cold cream.

Same to what was done to Blogger Vivien during press conference, this pretty pink machine will be the magical machine of the day.

First is the 10 minutes of Radiofrequency using the probe to promote collagen, skin elasticity and toning You can feel the heat of the probe as it is massaged on the tummy. Then, 10 minutes of Sono to melt fat cells. I can hear the beeping sound like aliens are whispering morsecode into my ears as the fats were melting.

After the session was done, measurement was again made. I lost 2 cm from my waist line. Wow! Can’t wait for my next session…
