KIDLOLAND APP FOR KIDS REVIEW

April 24, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 1,717 Comments

Kidloland App

I try to avoid letting my 2 years old toddler, who will be turning 3 years old in 2 months, use any mobile gadgets, tablets or even watch television. But just as he turned 2 years old, my husband and I gave in. We got a cable subscription with cartoon shows and made him use the tablet with approved videos to watch but all in a restriction time period. And you know what, it is not bad after all. We realized that it sped up his learning new words and he is able to know songs and able to identify colors & shapes. Now, in his nursery class, when his teacher ask each one to come up and sing a song. He can sing a few nursery  rhymes for his classmates.

We make it a point to check what kind of videos he watch and what apps we only make him use. We are so happy with the KidloLand App.

Kidloland App

KidloLand App is just the perfect app for toddlers and preschoolers. It has over 1000 Nursery Rhymes, Songs, Activities and Games for Kids. Over 350 mommy bloggers approved of this app and I am approving it too. Let me tell you why:

1.  It is easy to use

Once downloaded, you click on the icon and you get to see the vibrant colorful main menu with its different big panel with drawings that would appeal kids: Nursery Rhymes, Stories Phonics, Various Songs, Games, Weather & Seasons, Dinos, Vehicles, Animal Kingdom, Fruits & Vegetables, Numbers, Colors & Shapes, Months & Days and Christmas. A kid can easily just tap on the desired panel.

2. It is interactive

While in YouTube videos, my son would just passively watch or listen to the nursery rhymes. But in KidloLand, as the rhyme or song plays Naj can interact with it by tapping on certain objects in the screen like making some animals move or turn on & off lights. He loves it!

3. It is educational

After Naj have been exposed to this app for a few weeks now, he becomes very good with identifying the correct colors, shapes and his pronunciation of words has improved tremendously.

4. It has a Vehicle Category

My son is so obsessed with cars or any vehicles so having this particular catergory just for that is perfect. He indulge himself with seeing different vehicles. He can learn more about the vehicles and what they can do through a song.

5. It is available in iOS and Android

We have an Android tablet and use iOs phone. So at home, we let Naj use the tablet but during travels we can access the KidloLand app through my iPhone.

Kidloland App

It is worth 24.55 USD. It is like having a mini-playgroup in the comforts of our own home. I get to spend a fun quality time with my toddler as we navigate through the learning app. I, now, understand why it is has the vote of approval of lots of mommy bloggers. It has even recently won the Mom’s Choice Award. We are happy that we discovered this fantastic app for kids.

PACKING ESSENTIALS FOR A HOLIDAY WITH CHILDREN

March 27, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 2,893 Comments

Family holidays are always amazing fun – but that doesn’t mean to say they don’t take a lot of effort. One of the biggest struggles in this regard comes in the form of the packing which goes into any excursion. Today, let’s run through five packing essentials when it comes to holidaying with children.

1. Medical Supplies

Keeping your kids safe will naturally be a priority when it comes to going abroad, and one of the best ways to ensure that happens is to take a basic set of medical supplies with you at all times.

These kits won’t be that effective if something drastic happens, but they still have the potential to be lifesavers when it comes to blood loss or broken bones. There are several different types of items you can include in the kit, including:

• Bandages

• Anti-bacterial wipes

• Burn and fungus-aid treatment

• Tweezers and scissors

• Sterile packs

2. Gadgets

There are all sorts of gadgets and gizmos which will make your journey with the kids far simpler. These will range from items which provide a basic, handy, service (such as phones and chargers), to games and apps which occupy your child and keep them entertained.

These devices should effectively serve to make things easier for you all round – usually by adding a touch of home life to proceedings. Something like a night light might not seem like an item which is a necessity, but it could help your child to sleep a lot easier. This could be a particular concern for babies who need specialist gadgets.

3. Spare Clothing

Let’s face it; kids get themselves messy. Whether it’s from playing in a dirty area, or simply spilling their food and drink down themselves, clothes are the first casualties when it comes to accidental spillages.

Think ahead and pack more clothes than your child is going to need. While we don’t recommend going crazy in this regard, you should definitely think about bringing at least a selection of back-up clothes with you (potentially even one for every day).

4. Essential Documents

These are just as crucial for you as they are for the wee ones. When thinking about a checklist for essential documents, make sure you’ve got everything covered when it comes to the little ones too.

It’s your responsibility as their legal guardian to make sure they have every piece of documentation in order prior to travel. The types of things you’ll want to have settled before you go include:

• Passports

• Visas

• Tickets

• Identity cards

5. Healthy snacks

Stocking up on snacks is a guaranteed way of keeping the little ones satisfied – but you won’t want to substitute health for good behaviour. Kill two birds with one stone by providing them with bites of food which will not only keep their tummies full, but also provide some nutritional goodness.

Perfect examples of this kind of snack come from the likes of vegetable slices (such as carrot or cucumber sticks), or even something as simple as a few items of fruit. Naturally, pick what your child likes and not what you think is best for them.

Packing for a trip with the kids is never easy, but, if you follow the advice we’ve laid out here, you should be able to pull it off without a hitch.

SHOPPPING FOR MY KIDS AT TODDLE

October 26, 2016 by Little Miss Honey 2,259 Comments

Toddle Baby Shop

I love my two little kiddos. And they love me too, I am happy to say. My little boys adores me too much, I kid you not. They cling to me like velcro and fight for my attention. Once I get home from work and they see me, my toddler, Naj,  would rush to me shouting, “Mommy” and my 7-months old, Fynn would recognize me & would reach out arms for his mommy. Fynn would wail if I would be a minute delay in me carrying him. Hugs from me puts a sweet smile to their faces. I feel like a rockstar and I am not complaining. It just makes me want to rush off back home once I get off from work to be with them. Though the challenge of taking them both outside for some shopping trip can be taxing for me. They only want mommy to carry them, both! Both are very rowdy and are all-over the place. The other wants to run while the other is trying to walk. Boys! What can you say. I cannot handle that challenge just yet.  Thank God for online shopping! It is a lifesaver for moms like me.

I discovered this online specialty store that retails baby and kid-related products in Singapore called Toddle.

Toddle Baby Shop

I researched a little bit about Toddle Online Shop before making any purchases. I love that their vision is all about ‘all great things come from small beginnings’. Tiny Steps, Big Dreams. I am happy to know that they carefully curate their products that would adhere to their S.H.I.N.E. criteria which stands for

SMART

HEALTHY

INVESTMENT

NECESSITY

ECO-FRIENDLY

They make sure their products help kids become more innovative and smart. They make sure the products are not detrimental to the child’s health. They only sell wholesome, organic foods and the toys are made from nontoxic natural materials. They make sure that the stuff you from the store is a sure investment and an essential part in the kid’s development. They also take note that products they offer are environmentally-friendly.

MY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

I like the interface of the site. I like that it was catergorized quite neatly and so user-friendly. I hate complicated online shop which leads me to not make my purchases in the end. I don’t like pressing too many buttons and I like when it is in a clear categories. It has several categories:

1. Gear – for carriers and stroller

2. Play and Learn – for educational toys

3. Nursing and Feeding – for milk bottles, nursing accessories, etc.

4. Bath and Health – bath products and bath toys

5. Wearables – for clothes, shoes and sunglasses

6. Gifts – for baby shower gifts

They have an active blog to give you helpful information that is beneficial to parents and a better shopping decisions. I noticed that the prices are similar to those I have seen in retail shops. When I also noticed a Message Box on the right lower corner of the website to chat with a customer service personnel if I encounter any problem with my purchases. Though I found their online enquiry form on their page as well.

Toddle Baby Shop

You select the items you like to buy. It is nice that there they give a thorough information of the item when you click on it. Once you are ready for check out, they will proceed you to your Paypal account for the purchase. It is better to register yourself first before making any purchases.

Naj is starting school next year, I wanted to get him some educational toys especially those that will teach him the alphabet and numbers. I also wanted him to introduce to him the love of reading so I am keen on getting him some books. I wanted to get Fynn a cute pacifier to bring when we go out and a sunglasses for his peepers because we are planning a beach trip soon.

I was impressed that the items I ordered came 2 days after my order date. It was nicely packaged along with the receipt.

MY TODDLE HAUL

I got this for Hape Countdown, an educational toy for Naj. It is a rocket in this endless maze that would enhance his fine motor skills and problem-solving ability. He loves this one so much. He would sit for hours playing with this.
