THE COMB HAIR STUDIO: KOREAN DIGITAL PERM REVIEW, SINGAPORE

March 28, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 1,365 Comments

Korean Digital Perm

I hate my flat limp hair. I washing my hair with hot water daily too which adds to the flatness and dullness of it. I missed my perm when I was still in residency training. So I decided to have a Korean Digital Perm this March.

Searching from a thousand of salon options here in Singapore can be frustrating so I opted to go to the salon I trusted. I had my hair dyed in The Comb Hair Studio a year ago. I haven’t had anything done with my hair for so long.

What I like about The Comb Hair Studio is its accessibility. You can walk from Telok Ayer MRT or Raffles Place MRT. It is found in Gemmill Lane with lots of wonderful restaurants nearby.

I have always liked the modern minimalist vibe of the salon with a touch of woody color. The Comb Hair Salon offers Korean Hair Services. It is owned by Creative Director, Rina Kil who was trained extensively in Korea. She brought to Singapore her expertise in hair services.

I was offered hot tea and magazines while I waited for my stylist who arrived shortly after. My stylist name is Chris. He asked me want I wanted for my hair. I showed him my hair peg on my phone.

Before I had my hair washed, he took a photo of my dry limp hair before the transformation.

A hair solution was applied to my hair which I am glad didn’t hurt my scalp at all. When the time is up, my hair was attached to this ‘contraption’. I looked like an alien from other space. I was on the ‘perm machine’ for awhile. Chris took out one of the roller to check my hair and it looked like Curly Sue’s hair. I panicked for a bit because I don’t want to look like an aging cherubim.

All the curlers where taken out and another solution was washed into my hair. Chris and another hairdressers blowed dried my hair. And viola, I have my soft curls, just as I wanted it.

I like that the curls was soft and bouncy. My husband liked it a lot. Maybe next time, I will have my hair dyed again. Check out the their full list of services and fees here.

Things That InspiredMe This Week by Little Miss Honey

I hope all had  a lovely week. Middle of the week, I met up with Reg, a fellow Filipino blogger here in Singapore in this cute cafe in Changi Village. It was nice to get to chat with her and share our Singapore livin’ stories. The cafe is so cute and the waffles is so yummy. I can’t wait to bring my hubby there and blog about it soon.

I would like  greet my Muslim brother & sisters who celebrated Hari Raya this week, Selamat Hari Raya! I hope you had a great Hari Raya.

I spent my holiday getting my hair dyed at this nice hair studio in Telok Ayer called The Comb. I will be blogging about this hair salon and my new burgundy hair next week.

The Comb

I spent the last three days going about town with my little man. He can be a handful when we are outside the house but he is such an adorable little guy. I can’t wait to take him to other places and bring him to some restaurants & be my foodie partner.

Here are a round-up of links I found online that inspired me this week:

I love this tribute to 40plus women. Can’t wait to be 40! As they say, 40s is the new 20s.

I am happy to have my two favourite boys with me this Sunday. I cooked this Butternut Squash soup for lunch which I often would eat when I was younger. I got the recipe from my Papa. I am happy that my hubby, a vegetable-hater, love my squash soup. Yey! Heading off to a nearby restaurant in awhile for an early dinner. Let’s all have a great week, shall we?
