christmas 2014

Christmas Day finally came by. It was spent peacefully with my family. My husband and I reflected on how lucky we are to be together with our son on Christmas Day. We had some pineapple chicken, nachos with dips, macaroni salad and ice cream. But we can’t stay up too late because it was pass our son’s sleeping time, hehe…

Christmas is Jesus special day, I realise the importance of going back to God, how our lives must be centered towards Him and for Him. I am inspired by these two special women who was enlightened and followed God’s guidance in their lives. I deeply admire their love for God and even made me start renewing my relationship to our Lord.

Leah Darrow is a previous America’s Next Top Model contestant in Cycle 3 but was eliminated early on in the show. While struggling as model in New York, she got a big break to model for a raucy fashion spread. In that photoshoot she got an epiphany that she was not pleasing our Lord with her actions, she left and decided to live a Christ-centered life from that point on. Now, she is a speaker for young women on real love, modesty and faith. She is a devote Catholic, married to a nice guy and mommy to a cute little girl with another one on the way. She inspires young women from all around the globe to live a Christ-like life.

St. Rita of Cascia, is an Italian saint known to be the patron of impossible causes. She was married off young to a cruel and immoral man, which she later bore two sons. Through her fervent prayers, she manage to convert her cruel husband to be a better man. After the death of her husband and sons, she manage to enter the convent which she desires so when she was still little girl.

Let us not forget that Christmas is first and foremost about Christ Jesus. We are all saved because He was born on December 25. Thank you Jesus! Belated Happy Birthday!

Here are a round-up of links I found online this week that you might enjoy too:

I love how this singer sang the song “All About The Bass” like its 1940’s

Factors that leads to a lasting marriage

I love my childhood best friend, known her since Grade 1.

This will make me stop eating in fast-food chains now. (I hope.)

I want to get married again and make my husband do this in our wedding.

Leah Darrow is really inspiring…
