January 18, 2019 by Little Miss Honey 5,431 Comments

Aequilibrium Tea

I love routines and rituals. It keeps me calm & grounded. After a day’s work, I love to come home and feel relaxed. So what I would often do is to take a warm shower as I get home then after, I would make myself a warm cup of tea. I learned about herbal teas from my colleagues in the office who would bring some from overseas and I started enjoying them a lot.

Now, I am happy to discover an artisan, quality tea company right here in Singapore, the Aequilibrium Tea. The packaging of their brand is so exquisite & classy. Aequilibrium is inspired from the Latin Libra like to Zodiac meaning balance & perfect equality which indeed Aequilibrium Tea gives me when I relax drinking it after a busy day at work. They are a lifestyle brand for tea lovers that allows them to enjoy quality tea made from traditional herbs & fresh ingredients and inspires them to have a more holistic approach to life. Their tea selections are carefully mixed to have the most pleasant aroma, taste and therapeutic benefits to attain the perfect balance of Qi – Yin & Yang.

Aequibrium Tea

I would heat up a pitcher of water and I would steep my chosen Aequilibrium Tea for that night in my floral tea cup. I would often drink my tea slowly while I jot my gratitude list for the day, taking the opportunity of peace & calm when the kids are in the playground.

Aequilibrium Tea

It strengthen my practice of mindfulness when I enjoy sipping my tea, feeling the soothing warmth gliding through my lips, tongue and throat. SPARKLING SMILE WITH LA VIE AESTHETICS

October 20, 2018 by Little Miss Honey 2,144 Comments

La Vie Aesthetics

I love coffee. I got acquainted to the Singapore hawker kopi and it became a pure addiction. Though I am cutting back now and leaving my coffee love to weekend affairs now, this love affair left me with stained teeth due to the caffeine intake. I been hoping to regain that pearly whites and sparkling smile now that I have kicked back on my coffee addiction a little bit now.

I wanted to go for a teeth whitening services for my coffee-stained teeth but I was particularly looking for a treatment that does not involve heat, drill or needles. Since I do have sensitive teeth, I wanted a procedure that wouldn’t damage my teeth. So I was happy to find La Vie Aesthetics that provide SparkleSmile Teeth Whitening treatment. They are conveniently found in Level 4 of Orchard Gateway. They utilise a blue LED teeth whitening technology alongside an application of non-peroxide teeth whitening gel. The LED light activates the teeth whitening gel which in turn whitens the teeth and remove any tooth stains or discolorations. The treatment promises removal of all kinds of tooth stains such as those from coffee, wine, smoking, aging and medications.

La Vie Aesthetics

I visited La Vie Aesthetics last Saturday. The place was very classy and the vibe of the place feels very luxurious and fit for royalty. The staffs were so courteous and accommodating. I was offered tea while I answered a questionnaire about some information needed so they can treat me better. There was a TV in the reception area that shows the different services they offer. They also offer face treatments, body treatments and hair removal besides teeth whitening.

La Vie Aesthetics

Then I was led to a room by a therapist where I was asked if I consume coffee, black tea, curry, red wine and carbonated drinks regularly. She also asked if I smoke, if I had any injuries that affected my teeth and have prior teeth whitening treatments.  I do consume coffee and black tea often especially before and it was a NO to the rest of the questions. She then assessed my teeth by basing the colour of my teeth against a set of teeth in varying depths of white to yellow color.

Once assessment was done, I was brought to a room. I was asked to brush my teeth with the toothpaste and toothbrush that was prepared for me in the room.

The Procedure

I finished brushing my teeth and I pressed the call button to signal to the therapist that I was ready for the procedure. Lying in the bed, the therapist applied balm over my lips. They also placed this plastic mouth opener which I saw Ellen Degeneres uses in her game in her talk show where her guests would talk with that mouth-opener thing in her mouth and it is so funny. But I didn’t dare talk too much with that thing around my mouth. The therapist placed a gum protector all over my gums. Then a protective eyewear was placed over my eyes then the treatment started. It lasted for 30 minutes.

The Review

I was surprised that it was fast and painless. It wasn’t uncomfortable with the whole procedure. The staff were all so nice and answered all my questions. I noted the results instantly. My teeth were 8x shades lighter. I was more confident in smiling now. I plan to do 2 more sessions for the SparklingSmile Whitening. The sessions must be 3 weeks apart. CONQUERING HAIR FALL WITH BEE CHOO ORIGIN

October 12, 2018 by Little Miss Honey 767 Comments

Bee Choo Origin

Hair Fall, lots of them, have been plaguing me and (I presume) all those living with me with my hair all over the floor. My hair fall is mostly likely due to breastfeeding and hormones. My hair and scalp are in serious need of treatment, really badly. One of the best places that addresses that and many more hair & scalp issues is Bee Choo Origin. They provide herbal hair treatment addresses issues like

  • Hair Loss
  • White/Grey Hair
  • Oily Itchy Scalp
  • Dandruff
  • Chemically damaged hair
  • Bacterial infection

Bee Choo Origin was established in 2002. They have gained people’s trust in caring for their hair & scalp problems over the years. They have later expanded to 5 outlets here in Singapore. Their founder, Madam Bee Choo’s mantra is always sincerity before profits, so they maintain very reasonable mass market affordability prices. They have several outlets all over SouthEast Asia like India, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and HongKong, to name a few.

My Personal Experience

I went to Bee Choo Origin Ladies, their ladies-only branch in Bugis. I did 2 herbal treatments with them in a space of one week and used their very own shampoo & hair tonic which made from unique Chinese formula which uses exotic and precious Chinese herbs to help accelerate hair growth and control hair loss. The ambiance of Bee Choo Origin was very girly with vintage floral wallpaper and several intricate shabby chic white big mirrors. There were lots of steamers in the shop and the atmosphere was busy with customers coming in and out. The staffs were all very accommodating and nice.

First, I was asked what was my hair concerns and a therapist proceeded in doing an analysis of my scalp and hair by using a probe attached to a computer. She told me that there was obvious hair loss with the wide gaps between hair strands. My scalp was not oily because I mentioned that I wash my hair daily. But it showed few areas of redness.

Bee Choo Origin

The staff gave me a sweet cooling drink and then she began their treatment. She sprayed Ginger Wine on my scalp to remove impurities on my scalp and gave me a very relaxing scalp massage. Then she proceeded with applying 100% pure olive oil to the ends of my hair.

Bee Choo Origin

The therapist then applied the Bee Choo Herbal Paste to my hair and wrapped it in plastic sheets for maximum absorption of vitamins into hair. Once that is done, she started the steaming process began which lasted for 30-45 minutes. After 30-45 minutes, my hair was washed by a pepperminty shampoo and a herbal was applied. My hair was partially blow-dried to allow absorption of the herbal cream.

It was a relaxing and wonderful experience to be taken care of the ladies of Bee Choo. I used their Bee Choo Purity Repair Shampoo which is great for daily use without stripping moisture from hair and their Natural Hair Tonic which is formulated with 16 extracts to improve the supply of nutrients from hair to roots. I used the two products for one week before my next treatment. After 1 week I noted a reduction of hair fall to 50%.
I was excited for the next treatment to have my hair & scalp pampered in Bee Choo. Same process was done: Ginger Winer Massage, Olive Oil on the ends of hair, Herbal Paste, Steaming, Wash and Blow Dry. I am happy to report that my hair fall has now reduced to almost 70%. I just continue the hair tonic and shampoo.
Bee Choo Origin
I realised that we should take better care of our hair and scalp especially women since this is ‘our crowing glory’. I would definitely schedule another session with Bee Choo for my needed hair & scalp pampering needs.
If you go to Thailand, you can also visit their sister outlets at www.beechooherbal.com.
