ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE : SMART PHONE FOR SELFIE-LOVERS, BLOGGERS & INSTAGRAMERS

In this image-driven world of today, visuals plays a big big role in presenting ourselves and our lives to the prying world out there. Though as much as we conceal ourselves, the voyeuristic society couldn’t help but intrude themselves into each other lives. Hence, if we can’t fight them, might as well uncover ourselves and present ourselves to the world the best way we can. Would you agree? By doing so, we have control over what we share and what we broadcast to the world. Thus, the emergence of the selfie generation.

Why are selfies so popular? I think I know why. Have you ever had those moments you ask a friend or random stranger to take your picture and it didn’t come out flattering at all! Meanwhile taking selfies are much easier to control and with you as the photographer, you can position your camera to your best angle and take as much photos as you want until you get it right. If there is no one available to take your photos in your travels, you can always get a selfie or a we-fie (thanks also to your trusty selfie stick). If you meet your favourite celebrity on the street or attending a concert of your favourite performing artist, you can easily take a we-fie with them or just have your own selfie with them on the background. It’s fun and sometimes, even, addicting.

ASUS, being aware of that selfies has change the face of social media, has recently launched an amazing photo that is bringing ‘The Selfie’ trend to a whole new level. Enter the ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE.

The Asus ZenFone Selfie is aesthetically a very pretty phone. It looks very stylish and classy when you hold it. It available in pearl white, aqua blue, silver and chic pink colors. I got the aqua blue phone to try out for a week and a half.

What makes this phone the best phone for our selfie experience? You noticed that the front camera of most smartphones often have lesser megapixels compared the back camera. So most of your selfies tend to have a grainy and blurry results. Asus addressed this problem by providing the Asus ZenFone Selfie with a 13 MP Front Camera. So you get a clear, beautiful you pictures. You can also click the front screen button or the silver button behind the camera to take photo.

Asus ZenFone Selfie has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor with 3GB RAM. It has several features to provide you with best selfie photography experience:

I tried out the Beautification Mode to take some selfies. You can soften your soften your features, smoothen your skin, lighten your skin, thinify your cheeks, enlarge your eyes, apply blush and remove blemishes. Yey! You don’t need to go under the knife to achieve the best look for you, haha… You can set it to your own specification like how light you want your skin, how large your eyes to be, etc. before taking your photo. You don’t need to go to another app to do all those. It is already available when your taking your photo. It saves time! I took a selfie in a moving taxi taking advantage of the natural light. My skin was smoother and I has some few pregnancy blemishes in my chin which was magically not visible.

I know I have to up my selfie game a bit. I am still a bit self-conscious in taking selfies hence my weird smile here. Asus ZenFone Selfie is allowing me to improve my selfie skills. I also tried taking a selfie in a dim rest room before a blogger event at Ce La Vie. I got a bit more adventurous and enlarge my eyes even more & thinify my cheeks even more. Hahaha! I looked like I lost all my baby fats on my bloated pregnant face, hahaha!

You will definitely enjoy taking lots and lots of selfies with this phone and your friends will love you for bringing it along your gatherings. You can take beautiful panoramic we-fies that means you can capture Scenic Panorama Shot up to 144° with the front camera and 270° with the rear camera.

In Ce La Vie Club, it was quite dark so I tried to use the PixelMaster’s Low Light Mode to increase light intensity up to 40x for cleared photos at night. I didn’t even need my flash. I took a photo of the beautiful scenery below.

I also took the Asus ZenFone Selfie during our day at the beach. I took several photos in our fun outing. I posted some photos in my Facebook. A workmate of mine approached me asking what camera I was using because it was so clear. She though I bought a new DSLR camera, hehe. I said I used the Asus ZenFone Selfie.

I took advantage of the 16 Pre-Set Shooting Modes that will intuitively choose for you in every scenario. Here is a photo of me and my son and I also Photo Collage which I can create my own collage to remember the day.

I have to add that it has an extra tough Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for clumsy gals like me so it has a drop-damage resistance and less likely to break with daily use. This is one tough phone for you. I love the ZenMotion feature which allows you to simply swipe a letter on the screen to launch to a certain phone function like S for Front Camera, C for Rear Camera, W for Browser, V for Dialer and E for Email. Isn’t that cool? Also it has a 4G LTE Dual_Sim , Dual Standby and 300mAh removable battery.

I must say, after more than a week with this phone, it was hard to part with it. I want one too! Preferably in pink color! It is a great phone for bloggers like me who needs to take beautiful photos for my blog and instagram and such a pretty gadget to bring along for blogging events when I am lazy to lug along my big camera. Beauty & Fashion bloggers will love this phone to take their makeup tutorial photos and OOTDS. It is also a wonderful smartphone just for everyone who want to take beautiful selfies, vivid scenic shots and fun group shot to share in their social media account.

ASUS ZENFESTIVAL 2015: LAUNCH OF ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE

Our smartphones are important part of our everyday lives that comes with the fast-paced living of today. Especially as a working mom and a blogger, I need a good smart phone. I use my phone as my reminder, to answers my emails, to list my grocery items, to take photos in events, to type in notes and many more. So I am always in a search to the best smart phone that would meet my needs.

Last week, I am happy to be invited as part of the media to attend the ASUS ZENFESTIVAL SINGAPORE at the beautiful Chijmes Hallway. I am particularly interested in getting more information about the Asus ZenFone Selfie and trying it out. Yes, I love to take a good selfie especially when travelling because my hubby & I can be a bit shy to ask strangers to take our photo or when I want to test my MOTD (Make Up of the Day).

I came early to try out the Asus ZenFone Selfie before the crowd arrives. It was my first time in Chijmes and it was a beautiful backdrop to this exciting event. I love the tainted-glass windows and the architecture of the building, the interiors & ceiling.

I headed to the Asus Zefone Selfie table to get my hands on the promising phone Asus has to offer. There were several Asus ladies near the table to help in teaching us how to use the phone and showing the unique features of the phone. They were very patient and very nice.

I love how slick it looks. I love the back cover colors. I particularly like the pink color, of course.

The selfie feature was just plain awesome! It has a beautification mode that helps you smoothen your skin, enlarge your eyes, give you a bit of blush and remove blemishes. And you don’t have to go an application after taking photo because you can adjust already before taking the photo. Plus the front camera, unlike other phone camera, has megapixel!

There are several more great features in this phone. The camera function has a lot of wonderful add-ons to achieve better photo-taking results and it is easy to use by doing a Zen-motion swipe to automatically got to your emails or take a selfie, etc to mention a few.

Then the crowd started coming in and the Asus Festival Singapore 2015 officially started. The vibrant Vice-President of Asus, Mr. Benson Lin, presented the new Asus ZenFone series and gave us the many features & strength of these phones.

There was also a special celebrity guest for the night and the ambassadress for the new Asus ZenFone, Michelle Chong. I am familiar with Michelle Chong. She is a Singaporean TV host and actress. I have seen her several times on this comedy-satire TV show, The Noose on and she is so funny. When she entered the hallway, people got so excited. She is as charming in person as she is on TV.

There was a short break, we get to have some yummy canapés and refreshing drinks. Then there were games and a raffle draw. The lucky winners will take home a ZenFone. Wow! The games and lucky draw was officiated by the host of the night and Michelle with the special appearance of the Asus mascot, Zenny.

I was crossing my fingers that the funny and engaging emcee for the night, Lester Leo will call my number so I would win a Pink Asus ZenFone Selfie. But too bad, I was never called. (Insert sad face).

Congratulations to the lucky winners! Enjoy your lovely phones and take lots of selfies, ok. But no one came home empty-handed, I got a door gift: an Asus audio-controlled selfie stick. Yey!

After tinkering with the Asus ZenFone Selfie in this event, I must say, it is quite impressive especially with such a reasonable price. I think it is a great phone for bloggers and people who love taking photos without sacrificing the aesthetic look of the phone. I will give you a more detailed review of the Asus ZenFone Selfie soon.

I love this week because this week, on Wednesday to exact, was the start of my vacation leave. I spent the first two days of my leave here in Singapore. I attended the ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE Launch as one of the media at the beautiful Chjimes Hallway. I was there early and I was happy to try the Asus ZenFone Selfie.

I must say, the phone is AMAZING! The phone look so slick and the photo-taking power especially the selfie/beautification mode is absolute perfection. If you love taking photos and taking selfies, you’ll need this in your life. Watch out for my blog on the Asus ZenFone Selfie Launch and my review on the phone.
