This week, my husband and I managed to catch the movie, “Cinderella”. I have always preferred Cinderella over Snow White. I love her story than Snow White. Maybe it how she got the make over from her fairy godmother which I think is quite fun or maybe I prefer her long blond hair to Snow White raven black cropped hair. Unfortunately, I didn’t really like Kenneth Branagh’s direction in the new Cinderella movie. I would have preferred the fairytale stories, Ever After starring Drew Barrymore or the Ella Enchanted (not exactly Cinderella but close) starring Anne Hathaway.
Though I could give the movie five over fiver stars, I like the takeaway of the movie:”Have courage & be kind” and it also made me think of princesses in general. I have fascination on princesses. If you make me choose between angels, princesses, ballerinas or fairies, I would pick princesses. I admire Prince Grace of Monaco and princess of our generation, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
Women wanted to be princesses when we grow up after reading many fairy tales but I realised that we are actually are princesses by birth right.
God the Father is our true and real father in heaven and we are all born as prince and princesses. Having this knowledge, we should act and present ourselves in a manner befitting of prince & princesses. We should practice grace, kindness, courage, humility, modesty, elegant demeanour and tact.
