NEW YEAR, NEW BLOG LOOK

February 18, 2015 by Little Miss Honey 1,471 Comments

You noticed something different?

LITTLE MISS HONEY has gotten a new look!

When the year started, one of my goals and resolutions for 2015 is to improve my blog, be more consistent in blogging and have total blog makeover.

Late last year, I was able to get a slot with the amazing Martine De Luna to assess my blog and coach me in improving my blog. She is God’s gift to women bloggers, I tell you. She gives you great insights in the blogging industry and guides you in  blogging better and blissfully. After a Skype consultation with her, I was more motivated and inspired in my blogging goals.

After getting a clearer vision of why I blog, how I should blog and what will I blog, I was lucky to have Fancy Girl Patricia Alix-Villa to do my blog makeover. She is an amazing artist! I have seen her previous works with other women bloggers and I been swooning over the prettiness of their blog templates designed by Patricia. After choosing from several website designers, I know I would want her to do my blog makeover. And I made the right choice! She totally nailed what I was going for. Her instinctive creativity was on point. I wanted my blog to look feminine, fresh and classy. My blog crushes are Lauren Conrad, Kim Jones and Dainty Mom. My choice  of color palette are blush pink and mint green.

I absolutely love my blog header! Patricia did it herself. It is so me! A perfect day for me would be reading a book with a coffee nearby. Having that relaxing “ME-TIME” rejuvenates me and would give me energy to explore, to conquer and be in awe with life’s many beautiful surprises.

I am happy that this Chinese New Year, Little Miss Honey will start fresh with a new blog look.

I have written in my About Page that the reason why I blog is because my blog “is my little virtual heaven which I go to to get inspired when I write here and hoping I would inspire someone along the way too”. This is my sanctuary to share my new discoveries or chronicle my recent adventure or my musings about motherhood, love & life. I want to share my virtual home to everyone but first I must arrange and beautify it first.  I want you to feel like we are new-found friends chatting over a warm cup of coffee exchanging stories from new restaurant finds to deep realisation about life.

This blog is a lifestyle blog that encourages to explore life’s surprises. This is a blog about travel, food discoveries, book & movie reviews and inspirational stories. I am hoping to inspire you (and me) as we explore the many beautiful surprises God showers all of us. As we go into this life adventure, I hope to find more like-minded people who are also in the same journey as me.

This blog also aims to discover people that are expats like me, venturing out in a new place to call home and creating memories. Expatriate or expat is defined as a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship (Wikipedia). I have previously lived with my parents and siblings in the Saudi Arabia when I was in high school. I have enjoyed and cherished my memories as an expat in the beautiful Sandbox I once called my home. Now, I am in a new adventure with my husband and son as an expat here in Singapore. Who knows where life would lead us in a few years time? I hope to feature expats from different countries to share their experiences and adventures with you and me. If you know anyone, can you please tell me?

I hope you like my new and improved virtual home. Browse around. Stay a bit longer. Let me know what you think and what is your impression of it. Grab your cup of coffee, come, lets exchange beautiful stories together…

5 ITEMS IN MY CHRISTMAS WISHLIST

December 5, 2014 by Little Miss Honey 668 Comments

michael kors selma bag

Oh December is here and it’s time to pull out my paper and pen to write Santa, haha… Since my Naj would only want booby milk for Christmas & even New Year and nothing more, allow the mommy to write Mr. Clause to grant me my Christmas wish (es), hehe..

Dear Santa,

Hello! How  are you there in North Pole? I hope it is not too cold out there. I have been a good girl this year, I hope you noticed. You must be busy doing an inventory on what to give to all the good girls & boys this year. So I will make it easy for you and your hardworking elves by presenting to you what I want for Christmas. I gave you the option of picking from the 5 in the list or if you think I deserve all the five gifts, even better, hehe.. Here goes:

1. MICHAEL KORS SELMA SATCHEL BAG

I been eyeing this baby for so much. I prefer in color pink. I am loving pink recently. It will be perfect bag to use when I go to work.

2. FUJIFILM INSTAX CAMERA

I am trying to preserve memories by making a scrapbook. Having a camera that prints out picture in an instant is just what I need. It will be useful especially when we document our trips. We are hoping to do a lot of traveling next year.

3. PINK FOOD PROCESSOR

Still in my pink daze, this kitchen helper would be valuable in some of the dishes I hope to make. Also my son is turning 6months old soon, I would like to make him some veggie and fruit baby food using a food processor.

4. SILVER SWEATER

I used to find sweater unflattering but I take that back. I been hoping to get a nice cool sweater like this for this cold season.

5. THE DAY DESIGNER PLANNER

Planning makes me happy and keeps me organized. Nothing makes me beam with pride when I tick the box of to-do lists for the day, so picking the perfect planner is crucial to my productivity.

I hope this list isn’t too much for you. I am really in the “nice” list, right? Regards to Mrs. Clause.

Inspired Always,

Little Miss Honey
