Montana Brew is one of the restaurants that I would often rave about to my friends. My friends would frequently visit it and it is also one of the fave date places that my hubby and I been to. Recently, my blogger friends and I visit Montana Brew again to try out their new dishes.
Montana Brew is located in two-storey (Level 1 & 2) with a bigger space to accommodate their growing customers instead on its previous space which was in Level 1 of PoMo.The place has this modern industrial hip vibe with dim lights and abstract paintings on the wall. They have a nice bar area in Level 1. There is bar counter with hanging light bulbs & plant holder and cushioned chairs with throw pillows.
We were served with unique drinks that would entice our palate. I got the Yuzu Cold Coconut Brew ($7.80) – a cold coconut brew with yuzu and cream. It has a light floral fragrance with a bit of coffee taste. They also have Regular Cold Coconut Brew ($6.50) and Nitro Cold Coconut Brew ($7.00)
Then came the new dishes…..
It was a feast for the eyes and our tummies were so ready to dig in.
Cold Crab Truffle Pasta ($21)
This is made of cold angel hair pasta with crab meat and comb. This is perfectly paired with wine
Spicy Bacon Pasta ($17)
This is made of linguine with sautéed big chunk of bacon, bacon bits, lots of chili and ginger. Spicy food-lovers, rejoice! This is the dish for you. I left my mouth on fire. It was spicy-good. Unfortunately, I am not much of a spicy food person so I leave thesis too those who love spicy food like my hubby.
Baked Salmon with Poached Egg ($18)
Who loves salmon? Raise your hands! This dish is a salmon fillet with herbed couscous, shoyu mushrooms and yuzu hollandaise.
Fried Chicken Wings ($12)
We have 5 perfectly coated deep fried chicken wings. I am loving this dish. Some of my friends find it a bit salty, however, I am loving it salty, perfectly-seasoned chicken skin. I love dipping it in the garlic miring sauce.
Truffle Egg Rosti ($19)
This beautifully plated dish is made up of two poached eggs, parma ham, truffle hollandaise, and a walled potato rosti. This is a unique dish which is great to try out.
Lastly, we finished off with a yummy Rosso ($13) for dessert. It is like a deconstructed Black Velvet cake. It is uniquely decorated like a crow’s nest. It is made up of chocolate brownies, macerated berries and Irish Whiskey sauce. Drizzle the cherry sauce into the white sugar glaze nest and dig in. But be careful the sugar glaze can be torn-y. But rest assured, it is very yummy.
Do visit Montana Brew to try out their new dishes. You will never get disappointed when you visit Montana Brew.
