Happy Mothers’ Day to all mothers! Today is such a special day because we are giving honour to the mothers all in the world. I have never realised how special this day is until I become a mom of two. Motherhood is not easy. Ask any mom. But somehow all the hardship are all worth our while because it is done out of pure love. I was touched my husband gave me  a bouquet of flowers early yesterday for Mothers’ Day. I don’t want an award for all the sacrifices and hardship for taking care of our kids but it feels nice to be appreciated once and awhile. Plus receiving flowers makes me feel happy. You know what they say “Happy Mom=Happy Kids“.

This week, it was nice that I got to meet up with a colleague friend of mine who is now working in a different clinic. We were able to catch up with news of each other and have a pastel pedicures at this cute salon in Beach Road called Manicurious.

I am lucky to have the coolest and sweetest workmates. They arranged a Welcome-Back-After Maternity-Leave Dinner for me after work. I brought along Fynn so they can meet him too. We had a great time chatting, eating and taking turns in carrying Fynn.

We had the dinner at Royal’s Cafe. I tried their meesiam and it is the best meesiam I ever tasted. I am still dreaming about it. I love to bring my hubby and kids there soon. They have a corner for kids to play. They got  a long table near the window with lots of Lego.

Today, we went to Marche′ for Mothers’ Day dinner. I got a chocolate cake treat upon entering the restaurant. That is such a sweet gesture. We got a pizza, roasted pork, pasta, garlic bread, ice cream and chocolate fudge cake. Naj was so happy playing at the kid’s corner. Marche′ is one of the kid-friendly restaurants in Singapore.

Last Sunday was quite special because we got some surprising great news which I will be sharing with you all very soon.

This  week, my hubby and I started a monthly tradition. Date nights, just the two of us. I believe it is important for husbands and wives to invest in their marriage, as motivational religious speaker, Bro. Bo Sanchez said. It is important for married couples not to forget that they are lovers and friends first and parents second. In order to be good parents, we must be a good wife and husband to each other.

We went to Marche′ for dinner. It was like stepping into a little European country side. I love the concept of the restaurant. We enjoyed our little date night.

Last Friday, I attended a food tasting session with several fun food bloggers at Haru Haru Japanese Restaurant located at Ang Mo Kio. I will blogging about it very soon. It was a fun night of good food, interesting conversations and lots of laughter. Here is one of the dish that was served to us that night.

I am happy that again this Sunday, it is my husband’s off day at work, we headed to Changi Village and went Aston’s Specialities for some steak lunch. After our hearty meal, we bought this cuppa lava cake from Chocolate Origin while strolling at Changi Beach Park.

We didn’t know the Changi Beach is just nearby. It was a nice relaxing Sunday spending it with the loves of my life.
