KOREAN V-LIFT FACIAL TREATMENT AT BELLEZZA AESTHETICS

May 30, 2018 by Little Miss Honey 61 Comments

Bellezza Aesthetics

I have noticed that ever since I got pregnant with my first-born, my face especially near both my jawline became larger and for the lack of better word, fatter. I never returned to its tighter and less bloated pre-pregnancy state even when I lose my extra post-pregnancy pounds. I tried contouring my jawline and cheekbones with a bronzer but I was never good at contouring. I looked like I accidentally smeared brown crayons on my cheeks and jawline. So I got excited when I heard about Bellezza Aesthetics, one of my favorite place for beauty treatments has a  newest premium facial treatment called the Triple V-Lift Skin Booster that would target my sagging and fat jawline and give me that Korean V-shaped that I want.

Bellezza Aesthetics

I love going to Bellezza Aesthetics because I feel like a princess whenever I go there. Their interiors reflect their classy and luxurious branding. You feel like royalty when you enter. I was lead to a room with a prepared hot tea and biscuits for me to have before my treatment.

The Tri V-Lift Skin Booster is the latest non-surgical facial skin rejuvenation method that can effectively treat wrinkles and other signs of aging without going under the knife. I have to admit that, yes, aging is catching up to me so signs of aging is creeping in. I was told that this powerful yet non-invasive energy penetrates into the skin layers to heat the skin tissue where the collagen fibres are embedded This increases the metabolism of the fibroblasts, thereby accelerating the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. This treatment is great to rejuvenate skin, “wakes up” lazy cells, tighten and contour skin to give its V Shape. I know that I definitely need this treatment. It is suitable for loose, sagging skin with U shape contour and double chin just like mins. Its benefits provides instant lifting and firming effect with visibly smoother, less lined look. Yes! I was really excited.

I was lead to their room where I will have my treatment. I removed my upper garment and used the garterised towel that was laid out on the bed for me to cover myself.

Bellezza Aesthetics

The therapist explained the treatment for me. She slathered on essential oil on her hands and did a light massage on my face. Inhaling the aromatherapy in her hands was very relaxing. She then proceeded by removing my makeup gently. Once my makeup was removed, she used the machine to do the Tri V-Lift Treatment. It was slightly warm but not painful. She applied the warm pressure of the machine probe on my jawlines and cheeks. She showed me the difference once she was done with the first side of my jaw. I can definitely see the difference then she finished the other side as well.

Bellezza Aesthetics V-Lift

Once the V-Lift was done, the therapist removed the white heads and unclogged my pores. She then applied a mask for me while I peacefully relaxed in the treatment bed. After a few minutes, the mask was removed and the treatment was done. I was very happy with the results. After I changed back to my clothes, the staff served me with another cup of hot tea and yogurt with granola. It is always a pleasure to visit Bellezza Aesthetics.

5 GREENERY-INSPIRED KOREAN BEAUTY PRODUCTS WORTH TRYING

April 26, 2018 by Little Miss Honey 1,622 Comments

Greenery may be a bit difficult to pair with other hues and tones, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t include it in your daily routine. You may not be able to wear the color or eat leafy vegetables every day, but you can definitely include these 5 Greenery-inspired top Korean beauty products in your daily skincare or beauty regimen:

  1. COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++

Planning to spend the summer on the beach? If so, don’t forget to pack the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream with SPF50 PA +++ in your tote. Due to the amazing skin benefits of aloe leaf extracts, this soothing, cool cream will keep your skin hydrated and supple even when you’ve been under the sun for hours. Also, the cream’s high SPF and PA ratings ensure that you’re protected from both UVA and UVB. What’s more, the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream’s formula does not cause breakouts or skin irritation. Thus, even people with sensitive skin won’t have any problem applying it.

  1. Innisfree Kale Anti-Oxidant Skin

Looking for a handy anti-aging toner you can whip out at any moment? Then the Kale Anti-Oxidant Skin by Innisfree is going to be your new best friend. This product’s star ingredient is kale, the superfood. Kale is one of the few vegetables that have earned oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) rating; meaning it can destroy free radicals that cause premature aging. Thanks to the vegetable’s high antioxidant content, which is packed with vitamin C, beta-carotene, quercetin, and other free radical scavengers, this product slows down aging and reduces facial lines. Plus, the toner is rich in sodium hyalorunate so your skin will stay moisturized and soft all day long.

  1. Tony Moly Chaoreum Fermentation Broccoli Foam Cleanser

Need a cleanser that can handle your sensitive skin and leave it smooth and supple? If so, Tony Moly’s Chaoreum Fermentation Broccoli Foam Cleanser is for you! This product’s fermented broccoli foam extract is the reason why you should be celebrating. The foam has vitamins and minerals like vitamin C, bioflavonoids, and carotene, which is produced by fermentation. But more than that, it also fights signs of aging and is suitable for sensitive and irritated skin. Additionally, sulforphane – an important component of broccoli – stimulates the production of protective proteins in the skin, which gives the product UV protection properties as well. The Tony Moly Chaoreum Fermentation Broccoli Foam Cleanser can also be used to remove your makeup. Its hypoallergenic formula penetrates deep into your pores, effectively removing dirt and makeup residue.

  1. Skinfood Avocado & Honey Lip Serum

Missed your chance under the mistletoe last holiday? Make sure you’re prepared for every opportunity to get close to your crush by using Avocado & Honey Lip Serum by Skinfood. This serum’s major ingredients include shea butter, avocado oil, and honey extract, which give your lips that soft, kissable feeling. Applying this product daily moisturizes your lips. Additionally, the product’s hyaluronic acid and ceramide components give the serum a long-lasting and non-sticky application experience.

  1. A’PIEU Cucumber Slice Sheet Mask

If you’re having difficulty in exploring the world of Korean beauty products this year, you can start with something simple like the Cucumber Slice Sheet Mask by A’PIEU. Sheet masks are popular products loved by many because they are easy and simple to apply. Just spread the mask on your face, leave it on for a few minutes, and then remove it to reveal your soft, moisturized, and rejuvenated skin. Though there are a lot of sheet masks to choose from, A’PIEU’s Cucumber Slice Sheet Mask is quite special. This product uses a hypoallergenic sheet that contains hyaluronic acid, cactus extracts, and cucumber 10000 ppm. It is a great mask that all skin types can benefit from, and gets the job done fast!

Not all of these products have the color greenery on their packaging. Regardless, using these will ensure that your skin will get a natural glow that will leave you feeling refreshed every day.

THE COMB HAIR STUDIO

July 21, 2015 by Little Miss Honey 330 Comments

The Comb

How did you all spend your holiday last week?

For me, I headed to Gemmil Lane near Club Street to go to THE COMB HAIR STUDIO. I wanted to change my hair color.

The Comb

The Comb is owned and headed by Creative Director, Rina Kil, a hairstylist to the big stars in  Korea like Lee Jin Wook and Akira Kim. I initially thought the name of the salon, The Comb, is due to its association to hair but it has a deeper and more personal meaning for Rina Kil that is why it is called The Comb. Her relative in Seoul, Korea gave her a family heirloom, a Mother-of-Pearl comb and told her to “Comb your hair and show the world what you’ve got.” Isn’t that a beautiful story?

When I enterd the salon, I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. I asked to sit for a while and offered me some drinks. They have a little booklet of drinks for me to choose from. I opted to have a glass of orange juice. I browsed to some of their magazines. I love glossies! I am happy to see that they have up-to-date issues of glossy magazines and not back issues like some salons.

The COMB

The Comb

The minimalistic interiors of subdued tones of browns and whites appeals to me. The hair studio looks very clean and organized. I noticed there were no scattered hairs on the floor. I learned after that it is swept consistently after haircuts.

The Comb

The Comb
I decided to get a new hair color. I wanted to go a little bit darker and do away with my regular chestnut brown hair color. I also wanted to get a bit of trim. I am ready!

The Comb

I had senior stylist, Henry Yu, to dye my hair to purplish burgundy and trim my hair. He was graciously enough to give his suggestion of the best burgundy color for me.

The Comb

Hair dye was applied to my hair and I was happy reading my glossies while the friendly staff  ask me if I need an orange juice refill. The hair dye didn’t feel painful on my scalp. Some dyes can be too strong that you feel your scalp burning or itchy. After a few minutes, the hair dye was washed off. While washing my hair, I was also given a very relaxing scalp massage. It was such a wonderful treat.

Then Henry blow-dried my hair and gave it some wonderful waves. I love it!

The Comb

This is how my hair looks indoors. I like that it didn’t look dry and I love that it is looks iridecent.

The Comb

This is how it look out doors. I double love it! And my hubby loves it too!

The Comb

I am so happy with results and I am glad I spent my holiday at The Comb. Thank you, The Comb, for giving me a star treatment.
