Happy Easter everyone! My little Easter bunny here also greets you a wonderful Easter Sunday…

Easter Bunny

We are back in Singapore after a lovely but just-too-short-for-us vacation in Iloilo City. Last Sunday, we are so happy that Naj is now an officially member of the Catholic church. He got baptised in Lapaz Church, the same church my parents got married at.

One of the best things in going home to the Philippines is being with our family and enjoy the foods we missed. So most days is food pig-out day.

But the end of the week, we did fast for the Holy week. This Easter Sunday is a celebration of God’s resurrection. He died and rose  again to pay for our sins. It is a day of renewal and conversion. This is a perfect time for us to assess ourselves and start again to better persons.

Here are a round-up of links I found online that inspired me this week that you might enjoy too:

It’s Good Friday today. I hope everyone is having a blessed Holy Week. It is a tradition in our family to do the Visita Iglesia- meditating on the Station of the Cross in 7 churches.

I am sure it is known to many that the city of love of the Philipines, my hometown, Iloilo City has a lot of beautiful preserved Spanish churches.

Here are five examples of the beautiful churches in Iloilo:

1. OTON CHURCH

THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME THIS WEEK

Brillo Family

The early start of the week, I am praying for the time to move fast to Thursday morning because my family and I are flying home to the Philippines for our yearly vacation and for Naj’s baptism.

Thursday early morning finally came and we are off to Iloilo City! Look at Naj’s happy face… We are thankful that he slept throughout the flight and was good little boy.

One of the great things in coming back home is being with family and being able to eat all the foods we have missed and cannot be found in Singapore, like this famous Lapaz Batchoy.

Today is Naj’s Baptism. I am excited that he is now joining the Christian family. I believe in the importance of instilling faith in kids and practicing their religion.

Meanwhile, here are a round-up of links I found online that inspired me this week that you might enjoy too:
