There is something about May that I love. The month of May often is synonymous to flowers, love and motherhood. I believe that that is what May represents for me. Even back in the Philippines, the month of May means a celebration of flowers. Flores de Mayo (Spanish for “flowers of May”) is  a festival  that is celebrated in the month of May. I love receiving flowers. I mean, most women love to receive flowers, right? But I particularly love receiving flowers during May because it is the month of our wedding anniversary and it is also a month for Mothers – Mother’s Day. (FYI: By Mother’s Day, I will be a mom of 3 boys!)

When I want to cheer up my mother when she is sad or when I want to thank her for her sacrifices for us or when I just want to make her feel special, my siblings and I would often buy her a bouquet of flowers and it would make her smile and brighten her whole week. It never fails to make her feel loved.

Being a mom of two and soon, three sons, I know how hard motherhood can be. So a day to celebrate the wonderful struggles of motherhood is best represented with giving all the amazing mommies we know a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

They are a local florist company that cater to all kinds of floral needs. They have an amazing selection of products from beautiful bouquets, gift hampers and even party supplies. I learned that they are a team of passionate floral hobbyist turned professional florists; and their mission is to provide quality and affordable flowers so the meanings of love, care, appreciation and gratitude can be conveyed. Navigating their online services is so user-friendly. They also do same-day delivery, where they provide last-minute delivery service. CHEERING UP A FRIEND WITH FLOWERS & SWEETS HAMPER FROM FLORAL GARAGE

October 4, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 4,325 Comments

loral Garage Gift Hamper

I have a friend who just recently gotten a job in Singapore and it is her first time to being living away from her family. After a few months has set in, trying to adjust being away from her family, the new work environment and experiencing the challenges of an expat life, she has been very down lately. On top of it, she has been missing her boyfriend back home. I told her that she will eventually get used to her new life. It just takes a bit of time. I wanted to cheer her up plus her birthday was coming soon. I know my friend is a bit of minimalist and she own a considerable amount of good quality stuff, it was hard for me to think of a good cheer-up gift for her.

So, I was so happy to learn about Floral Garage, 2-year-old floral and gifts company that have an amazing selection of products from beautiful bouquets, gift hampers and even party supplies. I learned that they are a team of passionate floral hobbyist turned professional florists; and their mission is to provide quality and affordable flowers so the meanings of love, care, appreciation and gratitude can be conveyed. So this is exactly what my friend needs.

I browsed around their user-friendly website to find the perfect cheer-me-up gesture for my friends. To shop, it is subdivided into Flowers, Flower Stand, Hampers and Party Supplies. I initially thought of of getting a flower bouquet for her. I saw that their signature bouquets are the Freestyle bouquet, the Premium Freestyle and the Vegetable bouquet. Then I saw the lovely cute gift hamper which think would be perfect for her: a combination of arranged flowers with chocolates & chocolate biscuits for a sweet tooth like her.

I got the HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIFT HAMPER ($130.00-159.90). It contains beautifully arranged flowers, Toblerone Milk Bundle in 3, Ferrero Rocher T24, a cute teddy bear, Glico Pocky -Chocolate and Glico Pocky-Strawberry. If I wished it to be placed in a pinata, I can do so by adding $29.90 (U.P.$39.90). But I opted to just have the cute basket for my friend.

Floral Garage also have several types of hampers:

• I Love You Anniversary Gift Hamper

• Get Well Soon Gift Hamper

• Gourmet Corporate Gift Hamper

•Fruit Hamper

•Teachers’ Appreciation Gift Hamper

and many more.

I am happy to know they do same-day delivery, where they provide last-minute delivery service. This is especially helpful for husbands or boyfriends who last-minute remembers that it is actually their anniversary or their wives or girlfriends’ birthday.

I had the hamper delivered to my friend’s place and she called me instantly when she got it. She told me how she appreciated my concern & support and I know her too well that these are stuff would definitely make her smile. She placed the flowers in her dining area to give her place a homey cheerful vibe. She been slowly eating the chocolates as dessert after dinner and yes, the serotonin in the chocolates gave her a boost from her gloomy state. And she had the cute bear which she calls Lockey to cuddle at night. I am happy to report that I checked in with her lately and she has been doing much better. She has slowly adjusted to her new life and starting to get along well her new colleagues.

Thank you Floral Garage for delivering sunshine and the needed pick-me-up for my friend!

FLOWERS FOR A BETTER DAY

May 20, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 2,037 Comments

Is there anyone who doesn’t love fresh flowers? Let’s be real, there’s nothing as inspiring and refreshing as fresh flowers in your home. It’s that special touch to your décor that is almost as inviting as a fresh batch of baked cookies. Almost. Singapore is bustling with florists who are doing their best to find their way into your hands and homes, with arrangement, bouquets and special offers to sweeten and close the deal.

My favourite, however, so far has been A Better Florist. This team of florists simply screams ingenuity, which is the first thing I noticed about their work. I stumbled upon them completely by accident, on Instagram. The photos of their arrangements were, to say the least, captivating. This led me onto their website where I had a fabulous time picking out a new arrangement for my living space.

I had a hard time simply because every single choice on their website was beautiful in one way or another. The different variations of fresh flowers were so meticulously and creatively combined, the only struggle is which one you’re in the mood that day or week. I went for one of their signature blooms, the Ayla, because I love sunflowers. They’re so uplifting, and they emit pure energy and warmth throughout your home.

Will you just look at that? Doesn’t it make you want to smile all day?

I made a few clicks, shopped, and my order arrived the next day, because I wasn’t in hurry, looking like the flowers were freshly picked from the field five minutes. Loved the very thought of a florist being able to preserve the freshness of the flowers, yet still create something so beautiful that takes time.

All I can say kudos to these guys. I order my batch every week, unless I’m travelling. Not to mention, I always rely on these guys when I need flowers for special occasions like birthdays, family celebrations, holidays, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day. They are so on it!

Now, the price point. It would be unfair to say they are expensive, not with the quality of flowers they deliver. It’s really beyond words. For that price, I think they go above and beyond of what you think you’re getting. These are, without any doubt, the best cheap flowers in Singapore. If you ask me, you can’t put a price on such flower arranging skills. Before you decide, you just have to try them out. Once you have the flowers in your hands, you’ll know exactly what I am talking about.
