March 8, 2017 by Little Miss Honey 902 Comments

nature's glory

After all the festivities, Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year & add Valentines Day, I am one bloated mess. I didn’t reach my targeted weight loss after Baby #2 and Baby #2 will be turning 1 year in a few days! Ayayay! I said, enough is enough. I.Need.A.Detox!!!

I made a review on my previous good practices in my diet and lifestyle that lead to lose weight and achieve that overall light and healthy well-being. I realized it was when I was following a more plant-based diet and clean eating.

What is Clean Eating? It means taking in foods and food products that are more whole food, organic, un- or less processed and making them to as close to their natural form as possible. When I am in searched for organic and trusted products, I always go to Nature’s Glory.

Nature’s Glory products are 100% no chemical, no pesticides and no GMOs which passed the standard of auditors from NASAA, an Australian and International Organic Certifier. Their fresh produce are delivered weekly to ensure its freshness. All products are chosen carefully to provide the best for Nature’s Glory’s customers.

Here are my weapons from Natures’ Glory for my detox and jumpstart my clean eating lifestyle:

(1) Aloe Vera Concentrate

(2) Manuka Honey

(3) Chia Seeds

(4) Plum Balls

You can mix the  Aloe Vera Concentrate, Manuka Honey, Chia Seeds onto a refreshing detoxifying drink which can also give you energy and many other benefits like glowing skin, flat tummy and regular bowel movement.

Nature’s Glory Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Concentrate aids in gastrointestinal ailments and skin conditions like psoarisis, athlete’s foot, cuts and sunburn. I take 1 tablespoon 3x a day of Aloe Vera Concentrate or I mix it with my water for its miraculous benefits. I have always been impressed with Aloe Vera eversince it has healed me from my acne breakout a few years ago. My body reacted well with it.

Manuka Honey is one of the best form of honey in the world because it provides numerous benefits like healing sore throat, wound healing, eye infection, diarrhe, abdominal discomfort and gingival inflammation, etc. Nature’s Glory Organic Bioactive Manuka Honey is special because it is Harvested in the South Island of New Zealand protected by the Department of Conservation with clean air and pest-free. For the Manuka Honey, I stir it into my morning lemon water and my evening green tea.  I even make my own body scrub using this with essential oil and brown sugar. I leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft.

Chia Seeds are superfoods! It is rich in omega-3, fibre, Vitamin B, C, E, calcium and protein. They are great source of antioxidants and gluten-free too. They help stabilize blood sugar levels & blood pressure  and improves digestion. I love sprinkling Nature’s Glory Chia Seeds on my rice and viands. I also make my own chia pudding by mixing it with water or coconut milk and leaving it in the freer for a while. Once the chia seeds has expanded into little jelly balls, I throw in berries on top or pumpkin seeds or almonds. It is a perfect healthy snack.

The plum is known as the ‘King of Alkaline Foods’. Natures’ Glory Plum Balls are rich with antioxidants with aids in digestion and boost immunity. It also inhibits overgrowth of bacteria in water, food and blood. It improves metabolism, removes hangovers and retard aging. For good digestion or neutralise hangover the next day if you are out drinking with friends on a Friday night/weekends, you can take 4 Plum Balls. You can also take 10-15 plum balls to swallow, chew or suck as a daily supplement. It’s easy to swallow or if you prefer to suck on it, it has a tarty, sourish taste which reminds me of a kiddy candy that I like. I am happy to know that it has been awarded as the. ‘Best Natural Pregnancy Supplement’ Award by the Parent World 2017.

THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME THIS WEEK

Things that inspired me this week

Things that inspired me this week

This week, we got an invite to Barney Live On Stage in City Square Mall and we got a Meet & Greet Pass to have a photo op with Barney & Friends after the show. Isn’t that cool? Though Naj got a bit scared of Barney when he was up closed so he was wailing by the time we had our picture taken.

This week, we also celebrated that Fynn turned 3 months. It has been a tradition in our family that we celebrate with a cake our kids turn one month older until they turn 1 year and it became a yearly thing. It’s also a good excuse to eat cake, hehe. We got our cake at The Royals Cafe. We got a rainbow cake this month.

We decided to dress up the kids in their Batman clothes. They look so cute! Haha! I just look at their photos in my phone the days after. They look so adorable. Yes, I am such a mommy… Hahaha!

I made a Tuna Malunggay Pesto Spread which I took from Eat Clean Love Cookbook last night which became my breast fast this morning. I toasted some wholemeal bread and spread on this health goodness. It is yum! Plus healthy, of course. I had it with my favourite Oldtown Hazel coffee.

Tuna Malungay Pesto spread

Here is the recipe with a bit of revisions in my part:

  1. Puree Malunggay leaves in blender until fine
  2. Mix pureed Malunggay, 2 tsp of chopped garlic and 1/3 cup of olive oil. Set aside.
  3. Combine 2 cans of drained tuna flakes (I got the hot & spicy for added kick), 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper, the   malunggay pesto mixture, salt, black pepper. I added 2 tbsp of sugar. You can add 1/2 cu[ kernel corn also. Here I added a bit of chia seeds.
  4. Spread on pandesal bread or a toasted bread of your choice.

Bon Appetit!
