Living in a busy and fast-paced city like Singapore, I need fast, convenient and yummy foods to bring home to my family or for a quick meal to grab for lunch or early dinner. I am glad to learn about Chef-in-Box Vend Cafe, the first food vending cafe in Singapore. Their dishes are curated by globally renowned chefs like Thai Master Chef Jeeraphon Ritthep featuring his Stir-fried Basil Chicken with Green Curry Fried Rice ($8.80) and Fried Fish with Tomato, Sweet Basil and Rice ($8.80).
The Stir-fried Red Curry Chicken with Rice will satisfy your palate, with its aromatic and succulent red curry chicken paired with succulent Thai brinjals. Aroy mak krap! Poised to be a hit with gourmands of all ages, the Fried Fish with Tomato, Sweet Basil and Rice features fillets accompanied with tangy cherry tomatoes. The fillets are first fried to a crispy perfection, then soused in a moreish sweet and savoury sauce. Sweet basil gives it a delightful lift.
The Stir-fried Basil Chicken with Green Curry Fried Rice is fragrant, and promises a complex flavour. Another tasty dish is the Green Curry Prawn with Rice — the juicy prawns are immersed in green curry with a thick consistency, and then served with fluffy rice. Finally, tuck into the Thai Fried Rice with Saba Fish: the mackerel is perched atop a bed of rice tossed with a medley of assorted vegetables.
I was able to catch their launch of the World Chef Series at Ion Orchard last 12 November 2017 and was able get sample their dishes. They are absolutely yummy!
