HAPPY 2015!

Naj Brillo

Wow! It is 2015 already! My favourite holiday is always New Year. I like that I am given fresh new chapters in life. I love the newness and freshness of unwritten pages in my book of life. It means that I have been given another 365 days of adventure, challenges and opportunities.

I got a Daykeeper notebook from a friend for New Year. In the first few pages is a page to write to your future self as you begin your new year. I will do the same in this post.

Dear Honey of 2014,

2014 was a wild ride. It was all about your big transition from a new wife to a mother. For 9 months, you have carried Naj in your womb and on June 29, 2014, you had an eventful delivery to a handsome adorable NAJ RAFFAELE. It was a whole new experience from the  delivery until now as you learn your way into motherhood. It is tough. It is fun. It is challenging. It is fulfilling. It is all worth it. It was also a big change for you and J to be a twosome plus one.

The first few months of 2014 were all about anticipating the arrival of our little one and struggling with the challenges of pregnancy. It was nice that you and J were able to squeeze in a quick trip to Indonesia on the start of the year.

When Naj arrived, it was whole new ballgame. Having a scary delivery and having Naj stay in hospital after delivery were some of the challenges you have hurdled. But one of the most painful challenges you have endured was when you have to leave Naj for a few weeks in Iloilo when you have to go back to Singapore to work. You never realised how much you can love and miss a person you just met. But fortunately, in less than a month, he was able to join you and J in Singapore.

Though it is not easy to be  working and being a mom at the same time, you wouldn’t have it any other way. You now have  new found respect for the word: working mom. You now would appreciate your mom to be working and caring for you at the time.

So here is 2015. I declare it as a year of CHANGE. I can really feel a change is coming. You know that I like giving themes for year. 2012 was year of adventure & opportunities . 2013 was a year of love. This is a year of change. A year of conversion. A year of renewal and freshness. It gears towards returning back to God, renewing a deep relationship with our Lord. It is also a year of conversion, spiritually and holistically. This will be a year of being  BETTER YOU — reaching your utmost potential. I say change because I have always loved that word ever since high school. I say change because who knows what 2015 may bring. Is it a new adventure? Is it a new challenge? Is it a new job? Is it a new place to live? Who know… Who knows…

Cheers to 2015! May it bring more blessings, happiness, love and peace. I believe in you. I love you.

Inspired Always,

Honey of 2015
