I grew in a family where watching movies is our bonding time. We unwind by watching movies and munching on some snacks. I was lucky enough to found a life partner who is also a movie buff like me. My husband and I would often watch movies in the comforts of our own home or from time to time, we would go out to watch some big-budgeted film on screen.
I was happy to be invited by The Arctic Star to try out a new movie concept that will excite movie enthusiasts in Singapore. It is great that I can bring my hubby along with me.
Muvee Space is a movie concept where you get to recapture some movies you might have missed in the theatres or movies you want to watch all over again. A place where you get to occupy a large viewing room for you and your friends only to watch movie marathons. A place where you don’t need to be worried that you are talking a little bit loud or that you have your noisy fussy kid with you during movie time.
We met the person behind Muvee Space who was nice to walked us through the vision of Muvee Space and how it works. We were ushered into the smaller media room where 6 persons can enjoy and watch a movie.
The audio is the latest Dolby Atoms System at 7.3.2 Surround Sound and the screen is a 150 inch beauty. You see my hubby’s toes and my toes peeking out, comfortably raised up as we get to sample what the audio equiment in Muvee Space has to offer. The sound was crisp and clear. We can really ‘feel’ the surround sound in the room.
The seats are very comfortable which can be reclined and we can have our feet up. We can’t have those seats in regular theaters. Movies are best watched slightly reclined if its me and my husband are concerned. Look how comfortable we are….
My hubby picked the movie “Captain Phillips” starring Tom Hanks. It was an action-packed, heart-pounding, Academy Awards-nominated movie. I was enthralled with the movie and I enjoyed it immensely. My hubby picked a great movie. I realized that factors that would make someone enjoy a good movie (besides the fact that it is a good movie) are:
1. Good sound
2. No interruptions (e.g. lagging of movie)
3. Noise-free from other movie-watchers
4. Comfy seats
5. Great company
Muvee Space offered us some nibbles & refreshing drinks to enjoy while watching the movie. Movie-watching should always come with snacks, don’t you think?
Thank you Muvee Space & The Arctic Star for a wonderful movie experience!
