HOME-MADE BODY SCRUB RECIPES

Body Scrub

I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris. It’s that unfortunate genetic skin condition where there is a fast build-up keratin on the skin which causes unsightly bumps and rough skin especially in upper arms and back. I need to exfoliate my skin every night to prevent excess build-up of skin and get rid of the itchy, rough, dry skin. I love body scrubs, loofahs and exfoliating soaps. I particularly love the Soap and Glory Smoothie Breakfast Scrub. But I am trying to be a thrifty diva and scrimp on the skincare products that can cause a hole on my wallet. So I decided to make my own body scrubs. Thanks to pinterest for the inspiration!

Here are 3 body scrub recipes I made:

BROWN SUGAR SCRUB

Body Scrub

Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup olive oil

7-8 drop drops of sweet orange essential oil

Mix together.

ROSE PETALS SCRUB

Body Scrub

Body Scrub

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 cup baby oil

12 rose petals – blended in blender or food processor

10 drops lavender essential oil

Mix together.

LEMON SCRUB

Body Scrub

Body Scrub

Ingredients:

Juice of 1 lemon

2 1/2 Epsom Salts

(*Epsom Salts are good for tired muscles)

1/4 cup coconut oil

10-15 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil

Mix together.

Try out these Body Scrubs to save some dollars from pricey body scrubs in the malls and care for your skin. Let me know if you have other body scrub recipes to share…
