We are doing the book of the month in the blog a bit earlier than usual. It is also a bit different from the other books I introduce because it is a children’s book. Naj is now at a good age to introduce books and hopefully influence him in my love for reading.
There are a lot of children’s book available now a days. It is hard to choose which book to read to my 2 years old. I prefer a children’s book that has a message to promote good values to my kid.
The Special Bear by Gabrielle Yang is about a special bear made by a toymaker. Unfortunately, not many kids realize how special the bear is. Until one day, the bear met an extraordinary little girl who appreciate him how special the bear is.
I like that there is a little learning page after the end of the book. I love the bright beautiful drawings of the book. Naj enjoyed it a lot. I read the book to him 6x in one night! He loves it when I do the crying voice effect, hehe.
This is a nice book for you kids to let them appreciate other people uniqueness, being mindful of other people’s feeling and giving them our awareness on our special physically-disabled brothers & sisters.
This book is available on Amazon or Armour Publishing website. You can also get at a cheaper price of $8.90 SGD by sending a messaging to Coffee and Toast Mama Facebook Page.
Disclaimer: This is a post in collaboration with Coffee & Toast Mama. We received the book for free. All opinions are my own. Regardless, I only recommend products which I personally believe will be good for my readers.
