Soteria Face and Nail

I was happy to be invited to the Soteria  Face & Nail Blogger Party. Soteria Face and Nail was founded by Engel, Lynn and Michael. They provide Face and Nail Treatment services and they also have a Hair Studio that is a few units away from the Face & Nail Shop.

The place looks very dainty and posh. It is so flirty and girly, I love it! I was happy to see bloggers that I know who are there.

While some bloggers get their nail and face treatment, we get to enjoy the yummy spread provided by Stay Home Mum Cafe. The pastries provided fitted the theme of daintiness of Soteria. There were macaroons, cupcakes, jellybeans, heart marshmallows and cakes in jars.

When it was turn, I decided to get a gelish pedicure. Gelish nail treatment are sturdy, long-lasting and safe for pregnant women.

I chose a green nail color with sparkles and colorful nail stickers.

After my nail treatment, I had fun with other blogger making our DIY candle in their candle station. I am horrible at crafty stuff and I tried not to make a mess out of my candle.

I made this candle! It turned out well, I think.

Here is the finish product on my nails and I love it a lot!

Moving towards more organic, hypoallergenic and environment-friendly products, I decided to try some LUSH products when my bathing products ran out. LUSH are known for using ingredients from fresh organic vegetables and and fruits.

This is their mission & vision:

We believe in making effective products from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics.

We invent our own products and fragrances. We make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients, and tell you when they were made.

We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.

We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.

We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.

We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.

(from www.lushsg.com)

Entering into a LUSH store, you are transported into a whole new world of colorful aromatic blocks of wonderful products. Everything looks like bug chunk of cheese. You can buy per kilogram in a very irregular looking shape. Not the usual soap you are accustomed to.

I could be a bit overwhelming for first timers to choose what to buy. You need a good sales attendant to go through each products. Then I settled with these products. You can cut the products into pieces at home.

SULTANA OF SOAP

sultana

This is one of their bestselling soap. This looks like a big nougat cake made up of orange, apricot and some raisins. This is a very creamy moisturising soap. I am so in love with this soap! It smells divine and so clean. I love how the fresh clean scent lingers throughout the night as well as during the day.

PORRIDGE

What attracted me to this soap is its scent. It is more sweet smelling like caramel compared to the Sultana of Soap. This is like a breakfast meal in a bath but ironically, I only use it at night. It has oats that makes this soap more exfoliating, perfect in exfoliating your legs before shaving. It has orange juice mixed in it too. This is good for sensitive skin. My pet-peeve with this product though is that it leaves my bathtub messy with all the oats and you have to be clean it all up after bathing or showering.

AQUA MIRABLIS

AQUA MIRABLIS BY LUSH

This more of a body scrub than a soap. This is a perfect exfoliant. It reminds me of a gentle pumice stone that melts. It is more rougher than Porridge so it gives you a good body scrub. It is best applied on the upper portion of your body especially your armpits if you want to exfoliate those dead skin and have a lightened armpits, hehe. It is made up of grounded Almond shells. It smells like a yummy snack. I resist from biting into this soapy bar of body scrub, haha.

DOROTHY

dorothy

Dorothy is a bubble bath soap. It looks so cute, isnt it? I intend to cut it in half because I am to stingy, hehe, but one Dorothy is just enough for one bath. To use this, you need to crumble it under a running water and it will just create bubbles. It didn’t make the water turn purple or orange as they promised.

I hoping to try their bath bombs soon too. I heard it is quite a bathing experience.

I also got a free gift from LUSH: a skin tint/bronzer called CHARISMA

charm

You can mix it with your moisturizer for some tint or you can apply it on the hollows of your cheeks for a bit of bronzer. But to be honest, I haven’t tried this one yet. I am so fearful that I will break out onsidering my skin lately is not in its good condition. Yikes! So anyone who tried this, let me know if its a thumbs up or  a thumbs down, ok?

But overall, I love Lush Bath Products. I am definitely a certified Lushie now…..
