Early this week, I had my the 3rd and last session of my Project Transformation with Flare Wellness. It was a great way to start the week. I felt sad that this will be my last session with them but I am sure I will drop by their shop from time to time. I just love how I feel during and after my organic facial with them. I feel so relaxed, pampered and refreshed. My skin seems to be thanking me for my visit to Flare Wellness every time. This time, I had the rose-water organic facial which I think is my favourite among the three facial. I will be blogging about my experience soon. Also visiting Flare Wellness, I always get inspired by their feminine chic interiors.
After Monday, I happen to have a two-day vacation leave plus there was public holiday after my leave. We didn’t plan for any quick out-of-the-country trip. I opted to just have a relaxing chill time at home which I can sleep all I want and not rush. I get quiet and slow moments in my life which is rare. And that is just what I did. I was able to do my morning yoga in some mornings and do some meditation. I went to an evening mass on Wednesday, bought a rose for my DIY bath scrub and had an ice cream walking home. Those simple moments in my life makes me happy. Feeling united with the Lord, practicing mindfulness, enjoying a slow walk without rushing to go somewhere and just enjoying a chocolate-almond ice cream.
I also learned to make bath scrubs. I love it! It is cheaper and sans of too much chemicals. I get to save and it is a great gifts for friends. I made two types of bath scrubs: Brown Sugar Honey Scrub and Rose Lavender Scrub. I will try to make a Lemon Citrus Scrub soon.

I was also enjoying this book. I was laughing and getting kilig while reading it. I just finished it last night. Then suddenly, I am not sure if I am happy that I read this book. I was practically wailing with bucket of tears when I was done with it. I like romantic tragedy but it was too sad. Beautifully written but it was just so darn sad for me… Sniff.. sniff…. So, if you plan to read this book, you have been warned.
This week also, Singapore had one of the worst haze that struck the country. It was so000 hazy and it is giving people coughs, throat irritation and red eyes. I was even stricken with the discomfort that the haze brought. It was really best to stay indoors.
But good thing, I finally the haze cleared a bit and after work on Saturday, I met up with my girls in Marche Restaurant. I have a monthly meet-up with fellow Filipino doctors who works in same clinic but different branches here. We became each others’ support, sounding board and cheerleaders in our plights as doctors here in Singapore.
Here are a round-up of links I found online that inspired me this week:
Wonderful advice from mom about love
A very powerful testimony against abortion
I love Filipino street foods!?
This 59-year-old grandmother and fashion model is gorgeous! I want to be like her! ( I wish!)
How smart people deal with people they don’t like
I want to make these cheesy cauliflower dippers
3 truths about marriage that you need to understand
3 ways to prepare tofu. I am planning to have a more flexitarian diet.
I hope you all have a lovely week next week. October is just around the corner.
