The two important men in my life are audiophiles. My father and my husband. They both love music. But not only plain music. They want their music resonating in crisp, clear and loud sound. Better sound, perfect music.
Audiophile: n. noun: a person who is enthusiastic about hi-fidelity sound production.
I grew up with my dad who have his sound system carefully enclosed in a class cabinet with big speakers on each sides. Every morning, I would see him wiping his sound system and speakers with a special fluid only for his sound equipments. I grew up knowing the names of audio brands. When I got married, I saw the same affinity to perfect sound & music in my husband that I see in my father. I came to realize that in order to appreciate better music, you must never compromise the quality of the sound.
Last week, I was one of the lucky bloggers who was invited to attend the event organised by IMS Marketing and Originally Us that featured topnotch lifestyle audio products by Harman International Industries. Harman is responsible for the perfect sound quality of the vehicle audio in 4 out 5 luxury cars. Harman is also endorsed by bestselling music artists like Maroon 5, Quincy Jones and Linkin Park. And Harman provides the excellent audio experience in venues like Radio City Hall, the place where America’s Got Talent is being held.
We gotten up close and personal with brands like JBL, Harman Kardon and AKG brands, all of which are part of Harman International Industries that night. Harman is no doubt a leader in innovation, creative mastery and delivers concise product visualisation, which are elements to a successful outcome. Each brands speaks for everyone and each brands fits every lifestyle. I was mesmerised on how a beautiful sound can capture a kaleidoscope of wonderful feelings. I was in awed by the things I learned that night.

JBL
JBL is all about Passion. It is perfect for the busy bees. Those people who needs planned spontaneity and masters of multitasking. They are friendly, expressive and unique. JBL products have a wide variety of colors and sizes with high functionality.
There is the Clip+ (SGD 99.00) that comes in different vibrant color which you can clip in your office bag or gym bag or a wall hook in your home. Here it is showed to us by Andy Tsui, Director of Product Planning & Strategy of Harman Lifestyle Home & Multimedia.
Together with the Clip+ here is the Flip 3 (SGD179.00) in various colors. They are portable bluetooth speakers. These are great to bring everywhere. Rain or shine! When rain drips into your Flip 3, you will see the water dance on its flat surface. Andy showed us in his presentation. I was in awe of the sight, I didn’t managed to get a decent picture. (Insert: sad face)
There is also the Charge 2+ (SGD279.00) for those who wants their sound wireless and endless. So the charging power of this baby is undeniably powerful.
If you want beautiful sound plus beautiful visuals, Pulse II (SGD 329.00) is for you. It is portable and wireless and provides a programmable LED light show that is not only pleasing to hears but to the sight as well.
But if you are more of the big stuff and want things large and loud, its got to be the Xtreme (SGD439.00). It is big but not monstrously big. It even have straps if you want to carry it like a bag.
HARMAN KARDON
Harman/Kardon represents Grace. Judging from its sleek lines, premium materials, minimalistic but beautiful silhouette, it spells grace, class and sophistication. It is gives you the sound that you would like to surrender to. People that would be perfect fit for Harman Kardon are like those successful couples who are content and focused in their family lives and those who value quality over quantity.
This one that I am holding is an Esquire Mini (SGD269.00). It is bluetooth-enabled, portable for the professional on the-go. It also doubles a conference phone system with built-in echo & noise cancellation technology and dual-microphone. It has an 8-hour rechargeable battery and has USB access. I love that it looks so lovely. It can pass off as my evening night clutch.
Harman Kardon have other awesome products that were exhibited in the showroom. They look so pristine and oh so classy.
AKG
AKG speaks for the Creative Spirit. They are perfect for the Y-Series., the 20-30 years old artists, designers and musicians. They are fun. They are funky. They break barriers and allow their imagination & creativity to go wild. They are different and they are not afraid to stand out.
I was privileged to try the state-of-art AKG N90Q (SGD 2199.00 incl. 7% GST) Golden Headphones – Headphones that listens to your ears. It was inspired by the Grammy award-winning producer Quincy Jones. It was truly a wonderful experience to try the AKG N90Q Headphones. It is definitely a dream headphones for music lovers.
We also gotten acquainted with other AKG products in the showroom where were just so cool. My younger brother and niece would be dying to get their hands on those babies.
