(Wikipedia) ‘An Expatriate (often shortened to Expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship. The word comes from the Latin terms ex (“out of”) and patria (“country, fatherland”). This blog aims to discover people who are adventurers like me, venturing out in a new place to call home and creating memories. I have previously lived with my parents and siblings in the Saudi Arabia when I was in high school. I have enjoyed and cherished my … [Read more...]

Priscilla Shunmugam

This is a sponsored post by  The 7th Chamber in collaboration with SK II Source What is Destiny? Destiny is defined as 'the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future'.e.g.,"She was unable to control her own destiny" (Oxford  Dictionaries). When we were younger, we had other people map out our destinies for us. We allow others to shape our futures, forgoing our own decisions, our happiness and our instincts. I guess it's … [Read more...]

THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME THIS WEEK

September 13, 2015 by Little Miss Honey

things that inspired me this week

This week was special. It was Mama Mary's birthday. I guess you know by that I am a Catholic and I have a special devotion to our lady. She may be human just like us but a very special one. I hope I can emulate her virtues and be a strong, kind, and good woman like her. Happy Birthday, Mama Mary! This week also marks my saying goodbye to my first trimester symptoms. I have entered my second trimester already last Thursday. It was tough but manageable first trimester. There were different … [Read more...]

THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME THIS WEEK

May 3, 2015 by Little Miss Honey

It's Pacman Day!!! All Filipinos are feverishly anticipating the fight of Manny Pacquiao to Floyd Mayweather. I am not a boxing fan nor I would say I am a die-hard fan of Manny. But slowly, I couldn't help but respect this man. He has an astounding determination and perseverance. He also a very humble man which is not very common to man of his stature. But what really got me is his faith. When he unbashfully proclaims his faith and his devotion to God in a boxing press conference. A man who is … [Read more...]

5 INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN – BELATED HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY

March 13, 2015 by Little Miss Honey

If I were to live all over again, I would still choose to be born as a woman. I love the complexities of womanity. I love that being a woman can be represented in many shapes and sizes with different roles and different strengths.  I love the lyrical contrast of daintiness with inner strength; physically strong but maternal; opinionated but spiritual; nurturing but can stand alone. We are filled with emotions and a great capacity to love & be loved. Last March 8, we celebrated … [Read more...]

HOW OLD ARE YOU?

November 22, 2014 by Little Miss Honey

DeathtoStock_NotStock3

Dove currently have this "How Old Are You" campaign to empower women who are ashamed of their age. Woman happily state their age when they were younger but as they grow older, they tend to conceal their age. Someone told me before that asking a woman's age is a rude thing to do. Hmmmm.... Why? Two days ago, I celebrated my birthday. I find myself nowadays shying away when someone ask my age. I would just give them a smile or say "Secret". Bu at times when my patients would ask my age, I would … [Read more...]
