TRYING AUTHENTIC PERANAKAN CUISINE AT THE PERANAKAN SINGAPORE

In my first few months in Singapore, I met a beautiful Malaysian Chinese lady. That is when I was introduced to the word: Peranakan. She is a Peranakan. Most have lived for generations along the straits of Malacca. They are known to be good cooks hence, the Peranakan cuisine came about. I was always … [Read more...]

Hear me out. Eversince I can remember, I would normally prefer buying non-branded bags as long as it can fit all my stuff (which is a lot) and it looks aesthetically pleasing. Though I have to admit, I would replace my cheap bags every so often because it gets worn out easily much to my husband's … [Read more...]

So by the time, I got to pick and buy my own clothes, I was a bit lost. Slowly by the years, I have realized that I gravitate towards the basics - monochrome shirts, plain spaghetti straps, t-shirt dresses,  white button-down shirts. … [Read more...]

5 THINGS YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT TRAVELOKA APP WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR HOTEL

My husband and I made this conscious decision that our yearly trip to the our hometown in Iloilo City, Philippines would be coupled with a side-trip to any new place in other parts of the Philippines. We both want it to be an adventure and learning experience for our kids and our chance to see some parts of the Philippines we never been to. A MIDWEEK FUN AT MAISON IKKOKU BAR: A BESPOKE BAR FOR THE URBANITES

Last few weeks ago, it was in the middle of the week and I am stressed out. Work was piling up, mommies duties are calling and life in general was on the way of everything. I don't want to do something absolutely crazy, just some fun to shake off my stressful week. And of course, nothing permanent. No tattoos. (just yet!) So, I … [Read more...]
