One of the good things that came out of 2020 is me being reunited to my childhood hobby: reading. I love books ever since I was young. I gotten that from my mother who always has a pocketbook in her hands as she lie down in the her bed during the early evening lull or during afternoons when she would make us take naps. She told us that reading is her escape, her outlet when she is stressed or when she wants to relax. When we were growing, we found ourselves loving reading and books as well. I … [Read more...]
BOOK REVIEW: ATTACHMENTS
There is a new kid in the block that is making waves in the fiction department. She is no other than Rainbow Rowell, the bestselling author of Eleanor & Park. But before I read Eleanor & Park, I grabbed another book of hers, Attachments and I did not regret it. It is about a hot, awkward, nerdy IT guy Lincoln who lives with his mom and plays dungeons & dragon during the weekend. He works in company which allows him to snoop into the employees' emails. THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE
We have seen it all... All the love stories in the world just seem redundant and plain. It would take a lot of sappy, cheesy lines for us to say, "awww" sigh..... And that's what the book " THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE" just did.. I was ecstatic to recieve the book as a gift from my coresident. As Scott Turow, author of Reversible Error and Presumed Innocent said: " To those who say there are no new love stories, I heartily recommend THE TIME TRAVELER"S WIFE, an enchanting novel, which is … [Read more...]
