FYNN’S BABY SPA EXPERIENCE AT BEAUTY.MUMS & BABIES

September 27, 2016 by Little Miss Honey 3,929 Comments

Beauty.Mums & Babies Baby Spa

We love indulging our babies to a baby spa. We had Naj have a baby spa when he was 5 months old. We were so delighted at how happy he was when he had his pampering session. Now it was Fynn’s turn to have a baby spa session of his own. Fynn is 6months old now and baby spa can be done to babies 2 months to 18 months old.

On Sunday afternoon, the whole family headed to Paragon Mall to treat Fynn for a 45 minutes of baby spa at Beauty.Mums & Babies.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by two smiling staff of Beauty.Mums & Babies. There was room for me to fill up a form for necessary information needed so they can make sure he doesn’t have any allergies, medical conditions, etc. and give him the best service specifically for him.

I love the little details of their space, up to the wall decals, the birdcage lights and the kiddie toys all over the place. It looks like a happy baby room perfect for kids and parents to hang out.

My hubby and I are advocates of baby spa because we are aware of its benefits, both physiological and psychological.

Physiological Benefits:

– Improves cardiovascular system

– Promotes strong muscles growth

– Promotes better balance and movement

– Enhances memory capacity

– Enhances multi-sensory stimulation

Psychological Benefits:

– Helps develops babies’ personality by learning to accept risks or also learning to be prudent

– Improves situation awareness

Fynn was prepared by having the therapist do some stretching exercises before putting him into the water tub. He played  with a clapping toy while there is a soothing baby music coming from a cute bunny mp3 player. The therapist took his Batman romper off and put him on a cute diaper swimming pants.

The staff tested the water before putting Fynn in. They showed us the temperature of the water to show that it is perfect for the baby to swim comfortably.

What is special about the Baby Spa in Beauty.Mums & Babies is that it is using the purest filtration method called “Natural Kiremike Water” from Japan similar to the Japanese Spring water. It contains 26 different types of minerals that nourishes baby’s sensitive skin. It is also has hydrating components and balances the pH level of the skin. It does not contain any chlorine or harmful chemicals. It has anti-oxidization properties and reduces skin sensitivity.

Just like his older brother Naj, Fynn loves the water. The staff placed floating donut carefully between his neck and draped cotton cloth between his neck & the plastic material to ensure that he wont get a cut or abrasion from it. He was pro in the water. He was happily kicking his legs and smiling widely at us. After getting a hang of the still water, the staff turned on the whirlpool jet. There were dancing lights in the floor of the tub. He was given some balls and some toys to play while he is having a rocking good time in the water. His brother Naj, who was 2 years and was too big for the tub seems to wish he can join in the water fun of his baby brother.

After seeing that Fynn seems a bit tired from splashing in the water, his dad helped dried him up and it was time for his relaxing massage. They applied gentle rhythmic  strokes  using the Made4Baby Sleep Tight massage oil to soothe Fynn’s muscles from all the swimming in the tub while baby music was playing in the background. After his spa session, Fynn soon doze off into dreamland once he was in his babycarrier.

THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME

September 18, 2016 by Little Miss Honey 237 Comments

The past two weeks were relaxing and stress-free with more time to spend my sons. That just makes me happy. You get to realised that the most important things in life are your family and relationships. You get to appreciate things that you normally don’t realise that they are  actually blessings in your life. You get to sit back and let life unfold.

I been trying to be more healthy lately, hoping to lose my post-pregnancy weight gain. I been counting my calories using the app, Lifesum. Gosh! I didn’t realise that the post-work cookie or that morning java  and many other unsuspecting little foods or drink can be culprits to why I am not losing the unwanted pounds. I also try to make my diet more plant-based and I prefer to buy organic foods. So I was excited when I was on of the bloggers invited by Quan Fa Organic Farm to visit their farm in Murai Farmway.  I will be blogging about my visit soon.

Sundays are family day. Luckily, my hubby gets his off-day on a Sunday. Last Sunday, we made Fynn try a baby spa at Beauty.Mums & Babies at Paragon which he enjoyed a lot. I will write about his experience soon for those parents who wants to make their kids try the baby spa service too.

Here are a round-up of links I found online that inspired me:

I hope all of you are doing great….
