THE ENTERTAINER APP x CLUB MEATBALLS

February 11, 2015 by Little Miss Honey

When I get excited about something, I can’t help but share it to the world. I have two wonderful discoveries this week that makes me giddy with excitement. It is quite evident that I am an ultimate foodie. I love eating out and discovering new restaurants with my husband and sister.

I was happy to learn that there is an app that can support this foodie habit of mine and can make me cut down my expenses to half the price in eating out. I kid you, not. Enter: THE ENTERTAINER APP. Let me tell you more about this.

The Entertainer offers more than 800 Buy One Get One Free offers for Singapore’s restaurants, spas, bars, attractions. You can also use it when you travel in different countries. It extends its offers to over 250 leading 4-stars & 5-stars hotels overseas. You get to stay two nights  in a hotel and pay only for one night stay. Isn’t that great?

Here is more good news. The Entertainer Singapore app retails at $75 but you can get it right now at the early bird price of $60. For additional; 10% discount, use promo code “2015ALVIN” when you check out. This early bird price and discount are valid until the end of February 2015. So I suggest you grab the offer while its available.

If you prefer to get the Entertainer Singapore book, which contains the same coupons in paper format, it is priced at $75 ( usual rice is $80). It is available for purchase at www.theentertainerasia.com or selected bookstores.

If you want more information how to use the Entertainer app, head on over to www.alvinology.com for a more graphic explanation in how to use the app.

Through the Entertainer Singapore, my husband and  I got to sample the delicious dishes of Club Meatballs.

Club Meatballs

Club Meatballs is a furniture showroom-cum-concept cafe, a collaboration of Sarnies and BW furniture. I think that is such a unique concept. It is known for it “choose-your-own-adventure” meatballs experience. You can “pimp your meatballs” by choosing your type of ping-pong ball meatballs, your sauce and your sides.

Club Meatballs, as well as sister cafe Sarnies and sister restaurant, The Lokal, are merchants offering the Buy One Get One Free offer with the Entertainer Singapore.

Club Meatball is located at China Square Central. The places was packed on a weekdays when we went there. The music was playing on the background and there is a lively vibe  in the air that is infectious. The place is an open restaurant with subdued lighting. You get to see the chef cooking your dishes in the kitchen.

Club Meatballs

I love that there is a little space in the restaurant that is perfect if you want to have more intimate gathering with your friends and family. I would love to set up a little party there one of these days.

Club Meatballs

Further at the back of the restaurant, the BW Furniture shop is located.I was able to take a peek of their furniture displays.

There is also a space there for functions. The time we went there, there are some ladies there preparing for an event.

Club Meatballs

Back in the restaurant, we were so ready to sample the dishes of Club Meatballs.

We started by ordering our drinks. My hubby and I ordered our cocktail drinks. I got the Espresso Martini ($17) while my hubby got the Negroni ($17).

Club Meatballs

Espresso Martini

I love that this drink contains three of my favourite drinks. I am such a coffee-lover. And if I am to go out and order cocktail drinks, my go-to drinks would always either be vodka, Kahlua or Baileys. It is what this drink contains: Single Origin of the day, Kahlua and Vodka. I love this drink and its just perfect me. It’s like coffee with a kick.

Club Meatballs

Negroni

This drink contains gin, Gran Classico, Carpano Antica. My husband love it. I got to take a sip of it. It is like male drink but I think ladies wouldn’t mind taking tis drink too.

Now for the starters, we had the Pulled Pork, Chilli and Purple Slaw Sliders ($13).

Club Meatballs

I love how tender the pork is. It is not very spicy which I like. The buns was toasted enough to crisp but not too hard. I enjoyed this one.

Next is the Wagyu Beef, Gorgonzola and Onion Marmalade Sliders ($14).

Club Meatballs

I finally gotten a taste of Club Meatballs meatballs! Hahaha! I love it! The Wagyu beef was just perfection. The buns was similar to the pull pork sliders. I love the melted gorgonzola in this slider. Gorgonzola is a famous blue cheese. The onion added are caramelised and is a  good combination to the beef. My husband doesn’t onion but he said this one he can eat.

Next was the Huevos Con Chorizo.

This is a crushed omelette with chorizo and slices of toasted Ciabataa. Chorizo is a Spanish pork sausage. I grew up eating chorizo so eating this brings back fun memories of eating at home with my family during Sunday brunch. And it is great news that Club Meatballs will be serving this irresistible dish on their brunch menu for Chinese New Year.  You can eat this by putting piece of the chorizo omelette into the Ciabatta or dipping the Ciabatta into the dish.

After that, we had the Sobrassada and Gorgonzola Bruschetta ($10.50)

Club Meatballs

This dish comes with the same cheese used in the Wagyu beef sliders. Sobrassada is another type of Spanish pork sausage. Mixed with the pork when curing this type of sausage are paprika, salt, black pepper and other spices. That is why th[is bruschetta is very spicy for me. Those people who like their dishes very hot and spicy would love this.

The last of the starters is the Ricotta, Mango, Walnuts and Honey Bruschetta ($9).

Club Meatballs

My sweet tooth is loving this one. It can pass off as a dessert as well. I love its right amount of sweetness and the perfect combination of taste of the ingredients. I like that the bread is crunchy.

What was just the starters! Next ones are the main dishes. The first one of the main dishes is the Wagyu Beef and Rosemary Balls with Onion & Red Wine Sauce with Mashed Potato (19.50).

Club Meatballs

This dish is similar to Wagyu beef sliders with its caramelised onions. This time it comes with  mashed potatoes swimming in sweet red wine sauce. I enjoyed this dish a lot. I love dipping the balls into the red wine sauce. I think its the sauce that capture the fancy of my tastebuds.

Next main dish is the Iberico Pork and Fennel with Salsa Verde & Fresh Pappardelle ($19.50)

Club Meatballs

This time, the balls is made of Spanish pork. It comes with a flat wide noodles. The flavour reminds me of pesto pasta. I like pesto pasta. I would love for this dish to be more creamier or have  bit of sauce.

Then, we were down for desserts to finish off the lovely meal. We had the Lemon Merengue with Caramelised Pineapple and Pistachios ($12).

Club Meatballs

It is placed in a lovely mason jar. I have to take a picture of it with Miss Chocoholic’s husband’s cranberry juice. I have to borrow it for awhile, hehe. I enjoyed sitting and eating with Miss Chocoholic and Lunarrive. The lemon merengue and pistachios are on top while the caramelised pineapple are hidden below. You have to dig deeper to combine the three flavour. It taste sweet, tangy and nutty. It wasn’t too sweet so its perfect for this who doesn’t want their dessert to be sugar-coma-inducing.

To finish the lovely dinner, we had the White Chocolate Cheesecake with Almond Crumble and Berries ($12).http://misschocoholic.com

I can’t get enough of this dessert. The cheesecake wasn’t too soft like more cheesecakes which makes this texture surprisingly nice for a change. My hubby and I can stop raving about this dessert.

Club Meatballs is a great place for nice  brunch or dinner with friends and your loved-ones.    I would to try have brunch there with my husband using my Entertainer app.
