“(Wikipedia) ‘An Expatriate (often shortened to Expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship. The word comes from the Latin terms ex (“out of”) and patria (“country, fatherland”). This blog aims to discover people who are adventurers like me, venturing out in a new place to call home and creating memories. 10 MEMORABLE BOOKS
I came across an old Facebook status update which is sort-of a chain-letter tagging another person to do specific tasks. I rarely participate on those. But on one occassion, it was about books. I am a sucker for books, a 100% bookworm. I was asked to state 10 of my memorable books, explain why and tagging another book-lover friend. Here are mine: 1. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott- women, sisterhood and family - I love themes like this. 2. Nothing Last Forever by Sidney Sheldon- it is a … [Read more...]
BOOK OF THE MONTH: THE SPECIAL BEAR BY GABRIELLE YANG
We are doing the book of the month in the blog a bit earlier than usual. It is also a bit different from the other books I introduce because it is a children's book. BOOK OF THE MONTH: THE LIFE-CHANGING MAGIC OF TIDYING BY MARIE KONDO

Wow! I didn't realize there is such a thing - a person you pay to organized your things at home. She looks like a dainty pretty Japanese doll that I understand why … [Read more...]
BOOKS OF THE MONTH: LESLIE LUDY’S BOOKS
Looking around these days, I realised that women are having few people to look up to that would model what is classy and dignified femininity. Class was replaced by crass and it saddens me. I am still hoping I will have a daughter eventually and I want her to have good women examples to follow. I was delighted to discover Leslie Ludy's books that geared toward Christ-centered femininity. I have read a Leslie Ludy book that she wrote her husband, Eric Ludy entitled When God Writes Your … [Read more...]
THINGS THAT INSPIRED ME THIS WEEK
I met up with a friend this week. We got our nails done. Now that I am older ( and wiser), I realised the importance of friendships. So even if we don't work in some company, we try to meet up and catch up. Same wth friends that are miles away, I make sure we still communicate via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. I also had wonderful discovery this week. I have been hearing a lot about the KonMari Method in housekeeping and design articles. KonMari Method is the method designed by Marie Kondo in … [Read more...]
