There is a new kid in the block that is making waves in the fiction department. She is no other than Rainbow Rowell, the bestselling author of Eleanor & Park. But before I read Eleanor & Park, I grabbed another book of hers, Attachments and I did not regret it.
It is about a hot, awkward, nerdy IT guy Lincoln who lives with his mom and plays dungeons & dragon during the weekend. He works in company which allows him to snoop into the employees’ emails. He came across email conversations of two women, Jennifer and Beth. After weeks of monitoring their email convo, Lincoln started to fall for Beth.
The plot sound so simple like a close-ended question. Rainbow Rowell managed to expand the story by creating the characters of Jennifer and Beth to be entertaining. It was interesting how Beth and Lincoln get to conclude this weird, stalker-ish love story. This book reminds me of crushes, unrequited love and falling in love unexpectedly. It been a long time since I read a book that made my toes curl from sheer giddiness. And this book made my toes curl for a very long time…. I became Rainbow Rowell’s instant fan.
